I like it, but I don't like how stubbornly ignorant MCs in general can be to even consider thinking, "Maybe something changed in me?" This is a thing across the board for the webnovel genre, though you could argue to have a slightly better excuse as the kid is ten. Though actually, it may be worse since a child is far more flexible in thought towards themselves and the world than an ***** who is much more set in their ways, and fixed in their perspective of who they are. I'd think a more natural child-like response is saying, "Mom, am I alive?" or "Mom, did you die too?" while crying, since they are more dependent on their parents for knowledge and the concept of certainty towards the world and themselves. Children ask questions far more than they make statements. This also applies to all of his responses of "This can't be possible." Asking questions of, "What happened?" would fit far better here. Just my thoughts and suggestions though - you don't have to follow the pattern of writing and thinking everyone else sets. I also look forward to how you implement your faith into the story. Where there is no God, the other stories on Webnovel are right in saying that we have no hope but ourselves, and selfishness is the best option to survive. But there is a God, one who writes the rules of the world, one upon whom we can rely and hope in, and who says that in weakness He will be our strength, and in unity and peace, and loving our enemies, will we find joy and the truly abundant life. And should we walk with Him, we will attain eternal life with Him. Unlike the other stories here, it is not something we fight for as an end goal, but something we already have from the beginning, and so we can go further to do greater things than just live endlessly in fear. I don't understand why he doesn't try to be a scientific or learn other thing, if he is not mean to be a hunter, he should try to be a scientific (or diplomat...) who could discover the problem with the portal(or improve cooperation between human...) People should not be stubborn and should try different way of life(work) to find the one where there are good and enjoy! The force of the humanity is also different people with different capacities.
