Man! Are systems of order and justice that bad? I mean like every freaking system it's prone to its own form of corruption but that's human weakness not the fault of the idea, if the system. The institution or idea of Marines is not inherently evil. I just feel like this concept is very often overlooked. What it shows in one piece is people who are supposed to be good have the capacity to the worst while people who seem like criminals can be the most pure of heart. As someone who knows the plot has chosen to be a world government's little dog from the start, I didn't like his personality as he wanted to be the saint of justice for this world but wait! He chose the dumbest and longest way to achieve his ambition! He tied himself, why didn't he join the revolutionary army or even create his own group? It would be interesting that way. But now he is just like any other person in the Navy who is doomed to swallow up humiliation and submit to the government of the world until the day he becomes very very powerful enough to destroy this world.
