I stand behind my logic. if he wants to be free why would he want to be someone else's disciple more than he already is. he would have to follow this guy's rules and restrictions. added on to the fact he is going to have to share his secrets with him.
Exactly! SL himself wanted to have a master so he could get recourses and other benefits that only masters could provide. I don’t believe he’ll be restricted as all his party have masters and nothing changed

No reason he Would say no, in the last couple chapters WHen he arrived he seemed like he would have tAke any mAster to grow faster and thus Why he didnt hide his poWer like before. no reason he should show him self so much and refuse the best possible master aside the sect master of course. i prefer this old man since having the sect master as his master would be over the top.
