I am enjoying reading this book

I’ve just remembered that the reason Cora started nursing the wounded was to keep herself busy after her brother died in the war. She really seems to have boundless patience with Delaney. I definitely would have pointed out that Vincent saved so many other people from experiencing such a loss. I wish Olive would be a little harsher on Delaney too, for all her wailing about the imagined horrors of living with a disabled husband. But I suppose she’s busy being pregnant and in love.
