Logically, the kid doesn’t stand a chance. 12 years old without any martial knowledge or discipline, pampered and arrogant from years of protection... like a lamb amongst wolves, once protected by the greatest of shepherds, now his destiny should be akin to chum in the water, a lamb to the slaughter. 🐑 I feel sorry for his apparent girlfriend. If he remains under his father’s protection she too will be sheltered by association. Assuming her nature is as pure as she seems... I fear her future will be an unpleasant one. Shame. I’m not saying the boy is wrong, but neither is the father. Ignorance is bliss and knowledge is power... the truth shall set you free. Blah blah blah 😑

His dad is basically trying to tell him that he wants for nothing, and never will ever have to want for nothing. He has strength, power, money, honor. He has everything the he rams will and ever have to offer. So what’s the point of embarking on a cultivation journey, when it’s meaningles. As his dad has watched over a thousand of his kids die without any means to help them as a father that most likely ate him inside. This was amazing first chapter truly.
