Im actually extremely happy about this developemet. I love twists like this. Its refreshing and a new twist not doing the same thing as every other novel.

I have to say this new “plot twist” seems a bit disappointing. There were so many major unresolved plot threads like the empire succession, development of circuitry formations, settlement of a new species , guild matters etc., apart from innumerable minor ones. This seems to be an attempt to just wipe the slate clean and essentially restart the plot instead of dealing with previously unresolved plot. Maybe this should have happened after resolving some of the major plot threads.

Why do you introduce us di their little sister just to kill her now. And Rean and Roan have just incommen that they like their family so why do you have to end all that just so
