The spatial rifts are probably just randomly opening all over the world(s). Like imagine going about your day and seeing a tear in space open, a hand suddenly sticks through and grabs your spirit stone pouch before suddenly leaving đ
I just don't like how op it is, it gives him money, pills, technique, rock weapon(lol) what's left for him to do, I like when I feel the mc is deserving at least a little bit his victories. I hope that at least it will be an interesting plot device.
