The Man Named Ed

Unknowing, a black low key car has been driving around without getting caught.

Time passed by, the car parked near a river side in the city. A red hair stepped down as the wind caress his red fiery hair.

It hasn't been long since he went into a quite peaceful place like this, though, it's in the middle of the busy city. The river side was clean and it was chill. There aren't many light post around so his figure isn't visible.

He bring out a stick of a cigarette and light it up. As he puff the cigarette, it produced a smoke of steam which append his majestic attribute. He looks like a mysterious entity that can't be extrapolated no matter what angle you look at him.

When he is in deep thought, it was a habit of him to smoke, howbeit, he doesn't usually smoke.

While in loss, he suddenly thought of that man whom he planted a bug with. A though flashed in his mind and he immediately disposed the cigarette and enter his car. He open his phone and opened the GPS.

In his surprise, that bug was still visible and was just nearby. He drove his car around a few a blocks away. He get out from his car and followed the direction of the bug, until he found it in a garbage bin.

It was suspicious. The cloth where the bug was planted was right at the bin and it was burned. He also noticed the familiar tracker which is already half burned and it was already black.

Just then, he received a mail from the military to report at the Primal Base as soon as possible.

It was already midnight when Aka returned at the base. He head at the room where he was summoned. As he enter, he saw few people and one of them was the Survey Sect Commander. Mato and Xie is also present in the room.

They give their salutation with each other and resumed into the main deal.

"Thank you for your presence Captain. The reason why I called you here is that I heard you are in charge of the man named Ed, whom you tag along with your unit" the commander said straight to the point

"Yes, but unfortunately he escaped" Aka replied

"What?" everyone in the room has the same stunned reaction

"My subordinate left him in the van but when he returned the man was no longer there. The restraint was also removed but it was unlocked" Aka added

"How's that possible?" said one at the room. It was just unbelievable to remove your hands from handcuffs without unlocking it, unless your hand was very slim to begin with.

"That man was our prime suspect on our investigation at the mysteriously burned research facility at the Thousand Soul Mountain Rail" explained the Commander in disbelief about that man named Ed identity. He showed Aka the large screen where photos and information about the facility appeared.

"Is there an evidence about this suspect?" Aka asked as he slide show the screen.

"This man given identity and his name was all made up. He never said his last name that time, though, he said he run a barbeque restaurant called People barbeque, that was located at city C, Shanmei Street post no. 34, it appeared that the post wasn't a restaurant but a parlor shop" Mato simplify. They had run every background investigation to this suspect, however they can't find anything useful.

"In conclusion, he was the only that was seen at that mountain when the fire started. We can't explicate that the fire was caused accidentally and it was proved by the Forensic Division. They said that the fire started with the use of gas and traces of other chemicals particles that combusted was retrieved" Xie concluded as photos of it flashed at the screen.

"No one is able to escape and the survey outcome that most of the people was trapped inside the building"

It was crystal clear that this incident was man made. The investigation says it all. They dispatched the most skillful and talented forensics and investigators and the results was all the same.

"But the most interesting part, is that the illegal research lab main owner came before, he admitted his faults and was now in custody waiting for the law impeachment. Then he pleaded to catch anyone who is behind this massacre. In the end we can't do nothing. Those who died are still the country's civilians" sighed the Commander
