I Eat Tomatoes
Think i'm done reading, i hoped after the shitty realm war we'd see something interesting but this is by far the most boring IET novel ever, nobody dies because they can keep their true bodies in the realm, the fighting is boring to read, the cultivation is boring to read, and the world is boring. To think he ended the flying sword path earlier than i hoped to write this hot pile of shit.
LXY's terrible translation ruined it for me, but this does feel like a massive downgrade compared to his most recent novels. There's no exploration, and Meng Chuan's constantly by himself. Character interactions give a novel life, and this just doesn't have that. It would be okay for a character to be alone all the time if he or she were super interesting, but Meng Chuan's really flat. The most interesting parts of the novel were the painting bits, but it has been basically forgotten. Expanding the realm should be something massive, but Meng Chuan doesn't react like it is, and he's not painting about it like he had for other significant events in his life.
JPNovelFan:His novels always have so much crap on them but i agree. This one is a whole toilet bowl filled. Ive got nothing better to read so Ill still keep this one, but its rough. I think the cultivation system is his most convoluted yet. I think Lord Xue Ying was probably his greatest novel thats been written tbh.
