Laxmus lives to fight another day. RIP King Bryce. He came through at the last minute and helped save the vampire settlement. RIP King Arthur. Another father figure and a somewhat good role model. Ultimately lighting the fire within and making Quinn become what he has become today. The weight of the entire settlement falls squarely on Quinn’s shoulder. So much responsibility for a young person. Wish Paul was still there to guide him. Vincent will surely another invaluable support. Will Quinn accept his fate? And if he does, who will he choose as his royal vampire knights? My guess is Muka and Jin. 😉 Can he buck tradition instead and select Leo and Erin?
It ended the way it had to end... at least to avoid a semi-rushed and premature ending. I expect that this will be the beginning to the end of the current arc and we will flip back to the Dalki for the next arc. The battle with Laxmus will have to be the final arc and will be an epic finish. By then, Laxmus will have strengthened and formed his own group of vampires that will begin annihilating humans and with additional power from Rex Immortui and his regained shadow powers. Quinn still needs to grow in power and evolve. I hope that Quinn accepts and leads the vampires into battle with the Dalki (as suggested by Bliss) and when that is finished, the chaos will begin (unless Quinn finds a away to divert it). It may be the only way to reach his next evolution. Humanity is really unlucky. They always seem to be on the verge of destruction... Dragons, Shadow plague, the Empire, the original 1st King, the Dalki, the Blades, the Dalki again, etc.
I think I have checked for a new chapter 30 times today... the wait is driving me nuts. I hope that Quinn accepts and gets a reward that triggers an evolution... Simply because I liked how the book proceeded when the had specific points of evolution and I think his next evolution is not the end, but the beginning of a series of future evolutions bringing out his dragon heritage. The unknown trigger for Quinn's next evolution and the huge, almost unattainable, requirements for each level increase are frustrating. Not to mention that since all of his stats are maxed out, a level increase does him little good... until he evolves and his stats can go much higher. Ray said he has unlimited potential.... I just want to see it being realized...
I think he should tell them to hear him out first and tell them the truth. His past and time in the human world as well as his World Leader position, and convince them that if he’s King then he’ll be able to help unify both races in the same cause that plagues them and to work as one to eliminate the Dalki once and for all
