this chapter is by far one of my favorites since i love trying to come up with theorys on explanations or whats going to happen next and it still shows this isnt a "chosen one" type of story for quinn he always has and still will progress through his own talent on top of luck. and since i read MDS this chapter made me giggle like a little girl with excitement oh my god
So if Quinn is related to the person who made the tablet then if he becomes the same sort of race as the tablet owner can he get all abilities as well or at least obtain a few more. Would be cool to see him somehow evolve shadow eater to steal away abilities would be a nice card to play when humans turn against him. Also part of me is thinking that since the humans look like they may start causing Quinn issues after the Dalki are sorted out. I really want Quinn to just go fine speak with the tablet and take all abilities away to humble humans a bit.
Quite possibly a great use of foreshadowing and leaving openings for multiple storylines we never saw coming. Really thankful he wasn't able to get anything from the tablet given his lineage it had to be an all or nothing point. If it had been all really feel it would have signaled things coming to an end soon.
As much as I love this series and the author's work, this chapter was an extreme letdown. This chapter could have been as short as the tablet just saying "Leave the dragon alone" and it would have the same affect on the story. It honestly feels like a waste of coins and the author writing another lazy cliffhanger so we'll keep giving them money to find out answers or read something interesting later on.
