I'm glad you didn't immediately explain what "the chains that have been locked away for centuries" means. It heightens the anticipation and would have removed all the mystery around the Blade family. Just when we think we got the Blade family figured out, this little tidbit of information presents itself to let everyone know that the secret is more than anyone knows yet! I love it!

Jack is a ducking moron. If the three most powerful people in the world are that scared of a specific group, then that should raise every single red flag in existence.

***ATTENTION THIS MIGHT BE A SPOLIER** So question I have already read the book I’m just rereading it again, but if jacks power to take/give powers by kissing them, and blades power to to copy abilities of people they touch, couldn’t technically the blades just give eachother every power once they copy jacks power and just get rid of the need for thier abilities handicap bc they would have every power
