I like tradeskills(and I like no harem!) ... but this MC is too arrogant, and too stupid. In a strength-based society he is showing wealth too easily. It's like he's begging to be attacked. Initially he was all about being low key.... then suddenly he's an arrogant young master all on his own. Not sure how many more chapters I can tolerate of him being overpowered, arrogant, and stupid.
I'll post my comment here instead, as I seem to have so problem to post it under the paragraph I wanted to. Hopefully this works better. This comment is supposed to be right after he gave the nobles the 1000 fire spirit stones. (5th try's the charm. For some reason my comment compresses into one big paragraph, instead of the spaced out sentences I wrote. If it for some reason compresses again, I apologize, but I'm not writing this again). This is so incredibly stupid. I've never liked characters who just decide to give away free stuff, unless it's for charity to help others. This is just so incredibly idiotic. He got those fire spirit stones to help with his cultivation, and he just decided to hand them over like candy. He didn't even try to figure out how much those magical beasts are worth, so he could pay proper compensation, even though he's in no way required to pay any form of compensation in the first place! These annoying nobles just decided to tag along with the MC against his wishes, and now they're just suddenly his friends? Maybe this is just a cultural thing, but I don't want to have friends who constantly bother me, crash at my place without my consent, try to force me to sell them my stuff, threaten me when I decline, and then follow me without any regard for my feelings or consent. The only reason these nobles haven't already ripped off the MC, is because he's too strong for them to do so. Even the Philip guy didn't try to stop his brother before he got himself in trouble! I just really don't like how the author called the MC the biggest genius in all of history, just to completely lie about his intelligence and competencies. He's like an overly emotional emo teenager, who has a serious temper tantrum problem, and no situational awareness at all. And now even that, he has no sense of the value of currency to boot! Grants, the MC is in a new world, and he might not know how the currency works yet. BUT he got the memories of the previous host, and thus should know the value of things at least somewhat! He should at the very least be able to have a SLIGHT, MINISCULE, idea of how the currency and values work in this world. I mean, if these cultivators from the academy can get 1 normal spirit stone every 3 months, then that's 4 spirit stones a year. Now, let's increase how many spirit stones the nobles get, as they obviously are rich. Let's just say they get 20 spirit stones every 3 months. That's still 80 spirit stones a year. Heck, we can even say they get 200 spirit stones every 3 months. That's still 800 spirit stones a year! Now, as a budding cultivator, you can just use your 1-200 spirit stones per 3 months, or 0,08-16,6 spirit stones a week, and be satisfied with your progression speed. OR. You can just use a few hours of hunting for magical animals/creatures and make absolute bank. 3 months for 200 spirit stones? Pfft. How about a week or two for 3000+ spirit stones? Let's just say the hunt takes a month, so the party can relax. Even if you evenly distribute them between a party of 4, that's still 600 spirit stones in a month for each member. That's still 1818 times faster than 1 spirit stone per 3 months, or around 9 times faster than the 200 spirit stones per 3 months. So, unless the nobles and influential families are incredibly wealthy and generous, and give their descendants 600 spirit stones per month, or 1800 spirit stones every 3 months, it's still much more profitable to hunt for beasts. And let's not forget how Sam only got 10 normal spirit stones for the high-quality dresses he made! Forget about the academy or a craftsman profession, hunting is where the real money is at! Anyway, I'm just rambling at this point. I think I've made my case. Stupid MC.
E eu vi a TAG NOHARÉM.
