I am disappointed by this chapter and I actually feel that the author was lazy when developing the characters that he/she chose to fix troupe traits on both Chi Yang and Zhong Nuannuan. First, I feel like I am being forced to accept that Chi Yang has a mental disorder when I can't see evidence of that. Apparently, soldiers should be warm like sun and sunflowers but in my opinion, they are mostly the opposite of that. Most are sombre and unaffected rather than sunny and sunflowery. Chi Yang obviously loves the girl so it's natural that he would be affected when she is bullied, it would be weird if he wasn't affected. Second, I feel weird that the FL is now hell-bent on fixing someone that in my opinion, is not broken. It feels like the author chose to saddle the ML with all those problems just so the FL can 'heal' him. It's like 'his problems' are a justification for her previous treatment of him. The only thing that needs fixing is his habit of spacing out when she touches him. I am honestly not impressed with the sudden revelations. The title of the book has taken a darker meaning for me.
I don't find it weird. Chi Yang only has mental illness in the future. It's because of Nuannuan. If it was you, you have someone you love, would sacrifice everything for them, but that person not only loves you back, but also hurts you, insults you, and also gives you to another person, who wouldn't be devastated? It was a miracle that Chi Yang did not thought of dying. Why don't you try to feel how Chi Yang feels? Chi Yang is also a human. Also, he was frozen from shock because Nuannuan never ever initiated on touching him before. She is even disgusted and angry just by seeing Chi Yang around her. Disgusted by sitting in his car. Irritated by his voice. If you were Chi Yang, and the one you love is also digusted and angry just by seeing you, wont you be so sad and depressed? As to why Chi yang didn't give up his love for Nuannuan, that's the power of love...He was caught in the love web and he can't escape. It's not easy to just stop loving the person you fell in love with right? Back to the mental illness, Chi Yang may have a mental illness, but the author did not make it affect him being someone from the special forces. It means it doesn't affect his work. The mental illness is probably triggered by Nuannuan. And because of the stress Nuannuan gives him in the future, the mental illness that he has now, which DOESN'T affect his work, worsens. So all in all, that mental illness probably isn't going to worsen, since nuannuan got reborn, and her feeling of disgust, hatred, repulsiveness, and other negative emotions for him also changed. Also, please don't blame the author. I'm sure the author only added a mental illness in the male lead for the future occurences and events. Please just support what the author is writing, and don't judge so negatively, or future readers may be discouraged to read this AMAZING book.
As far as I know, you canât be in the military if you have some kind of mental issue. They have to have a physical and psychological test. Plus heâs a high ranking officer and belong to special force. Knowing that thatâs automatically discharge. Please author get a in-depth search before putting it down on your context.
The evidence of his mental issues are in the future, so they can't be shown now since they haven't happened yet. His condition might have gotten worse by the constant stress and struggle with her and her family. They would be problems that would have been new to him, so his reactions and feelings would have changed over time. So it makes sense in a way that he had a mild condition that didn't affect his day to day life that then got exasperated by a series of high stress incidents. Also, I think it's refreshing that they don't have the ML either be perfect, or having an actual reason for them being cold and suspicious. So many ML's have those characteristics, but it is because they are rich jerks, not because of an actual reason.
