I’m a bit confused. Is everyone in that world really dumb? If a swordsman lost his sword and didn’t know any martial arts he’s as good as dead, because they rely on external factors like how well made a sword is. However, with martial arts you don’t rely on anything except for the body you were born with, so you can always fight

These kids are stupid. They are trained as assassins and use complicated footwork. How the hell is martial arts are useless then? Pretty sure their training heavily involves it.

kind of stupid concept we see this at the beginning of the novel where Rey is unable to handle the sword correctly. your mind in front of your body almost always. discipline and training are needed to overcome this. martial arts is something that should be mandatory. to master the sword you must first master your own body. to me it seems more like something being neglected. as well as heavy blades in other novels and the MC becomes a hell of an op with it.

what a dumb situation. everyone blaming the kids in comment section as if those imaginary characters decided that in their world, "martial arts" is stupid but swordmanship, assasination, archery, fighting against each other etc. is smart thing. Characters didn't build the world, the author did. He/She did stupid setup here. No sense in it
