I know every one want jake to win but to me there is no way he can win. The reason was that, if what was told about eltraian metal faculty is true he stand no chance. Everything he do they should be able to predict it. Only if he make kintherin to build sophisticated machine then they can stand. chance. Even an idiot can predict kintherin borrowing through the earth. let alone eltar
There may be a couple of reasons she wasn't able to predict it: 1.she doesn't know the full potential of a kintharian. 2.she wasn't aware of how Jake manipulated the weather/knew how hot it gets the deeper you dig (she lacks modern knowledge). 3.she didn't try her hardest since she doesn't think he even stands a chance.
So were they "real"? Or were the people in the test just AI controlled by some system? But even still, their emotions were described very specificly. Anyway I feel bad for them. Being used like that for a stupid game /test.
