The question is was it the best way? also if there is a red stone for 1 ore and a green stone for another ore does that mean there is a 3rd stone for the 3rd mysterious ore that is on the island and if so what is it for?
I will have to say that dealing with the pack and other beasts isn't as difficult as you make it seem. Since he has plenty of time here and since his mental stats keep growing even if he dies he is only getting stronger and stronger. I also feel like he is not making the most out of his earth ability and he can use this place as a training trial. He can take the stone every morning which should become easier and easier since he is getting stronger and can learn the moves of this beast because of all the revives. And then he can go train his usage of his fighting abilities while growing his mental stats till their growth slows down to the point where it isn't worth it anymore. I think the best thing about this place is that he has opponents that push him and that he gets infinite restarts. The only limiting factor is how much time he can spend there. Especially his earth and telekinesis could use some practice as they are getting stronger with his increased stats too.
Dex2:I don't think I'd say there is a "best" way since not everyone would be able to achieve it based on their specialities. For example, maybe the highest award would include not only getting this stone, but also getting the other 3 you've theorized. Further, the person may benefit from killing all other moving creatures within range then waiting for morning. Unfortunately, even Jake would place himself at risk in doing this. Maybe he could kill that giant but dealing with the hyena pack without going on a frenzy would perhaps be too much for him. in short, there could be a "better" way but his available methods limit him.
Uh this wasn’t like Jake, because according to him his spirt body increased greatly when consuming the green stone so why didn’t he just let himself die a lot more times and take the green stones until the green stones are unable to increase his spirt body as much? That’s what I mean by that it doesn’t sound like Jake cause he would like a chest like that.
