Emily should be called more than a psychopath, but I'm unable to find a suitable word either. She DISGUST me. But, instead of burying her, they could have locked her up in some underground dungeon for a life time and if needed could have tortured her. I doubt that with her crazyness and obsession even after death, she might have switched her own corpse with Lisa's knowing that Graham love only Lisa and not her. And to vent her frustration she might have thrown the corpse of Lisa into the lake. The small tree below which the dress had found might be where she were buried. She is toooooo creepyyyyyy..........

Why burried her alive? Why Graham only cared about Lisa, I feel bad for his other two wives? How would Louise take all these things? Is she going to stay with Graham? Will she keep quiet about the crime? I think Louise and Graham will not end up together at the end of this novel knowing Louise’s character. That’s why Ash never let them consumate their wedding. They should have not killed Emily, for me they are equally as bad as her…. The Fourth Mistress, indeed….
So that is how the REED'S family ended Emily's crime of passion/obsession. Just as what happened to Elias in the previous chapter after Mr. Wensley's presumed death by suicide; buried alive. They were all a part of this crime; Graham was downright devastated with the truth from Emily. I wonder if this was done in the proper way; I doubt it if they would have the watchful eyes and awareness needed on Emily that she could easily escape from the sheriffs. Louise had dreamt also being buried alive in the forest; maybe Emily is telling her that that's how she died. If Emily's buried in the forest, and Lisa's skeleton is in the lake; whose skeleton is in the casket? The switching was clearly made before the caskets were transferred from Midville to the REED'S manor. Do the Saltonstalls' neighbor and the Midville cemetery caretaker have a role on this? Could that be it was Emily's father's skeletal remains previously in the casket? Or does it belong to Emily? But who could have stolen the skeletal remains from the investigation office and even killed the officers involved in this? I'm so much excited and eager to know more details about this. Diamond chapter for this storytelling. Speechless, anger, insane, frustrations, and unbelievable things. Graham took out his anger so deep at her which that is smg we are very proud of. I think Emily's punishment is a quick pace out of the family picture. Now Louise knows all the flashbacks, it is time to throw Emily back in downworld. Hmmm....I am trying hard to understand and see the perspective of the Reeds in dealing with Emily but I am conflicted since I do believe that you cannot correct the mistake by committing another mistake. In this case it happens, I do hope thar they have handed it to the police officers but somehow I do somehow see where they are coming but still 😢😢😢. It makes the situation more complicated. I cannot wait how will Louise react because whatever the acts is, Graham is still part of what happen. . Can wait for another chapter... Thank author for such a wonderful and thrilling story.
I cannot deny that Emily's demise is sad but also what she truly deserves. She turned into a psycho due to a one sided love. She built this love up so much in her head that she truly believed that what she had done was right. Emily was so wrong in her thinking. After learning about all her evil deeds I cant hold any sympathy for her. She is a weak person. Only a strong person has the will to rise above all the adversary one has faced For the simple fact of the matter that she sunk herself so low as to kill all of Grahams previous wives shows the true wickedness in her heart. Emily is beyond saving. May her soul rest in peace soon and Graham and Louise can continue on in a happy marriage.
Honestly , the first two wives were forced on him . He wasn’t ready,didn’t love them and he stated that. He picked Lisa himself and loved her. He and Lisa were kind to Emily and she murdered his Grandmother , the first two wives and Lisa; plus she was willing to kill anyone else if needed all in the name of psychotic obsession; NOT love! In fact, they don’t even know she killed Grandma. (SMH) What they did to Emily certainly doesn’t make things right but they definitely made things revengefully even
I’m somewhat shocked about Grahams reaction....🤔 I understand he loved Lisa, but he did not seem to care about his other wifes at all! 🤭 And as for Emily’s death.... she is a poor soul having real bad luck in life. Her childhood trauma completely ruined her life. I’m not saying she wasn’t guilty, but she also did not deserved to die in such way 😐 To me, they are not any better if they could murder someone like it’s nothing....
