to be fair the mc is absolutely pathetic. complaining about the system even though without it he would be nothing. somebody gets jealous and insults him bc of his girl and he lets the frustration out on her. he isnt worth the effort at this point and it would be better ton drop him for alicia. he wants all the world has to offer but he doesnt want to fight for it.

Would a noble House of lesser status risk offending a grand dukes daughter. And surely the letter of recommendation letter would have the Kings seal,, a teacher would read the letter first before taking action.
