I figured such a powerful magical plant would have sentience like the parasite does. If it did, I would have felt pity for it for such a harmless being to be mercilessly cut down for resources. I would have much rather it somehow become allies with Noah and survive. But thankfully, the plant isn't sentient or the author chose not to show its sentience.
