Sup guys, sorry for missing 2 days of facts, i had reasons that explaining them strarts with “it all started one year ago” and ends with “to be continued” so i dont have the time to write it all out So for todays fun fact ill talk about some weird medical conditions relating to vision. So as you all know the eyes are very complex and there are tons of conditions and other vision impaiments that exist, even for the most comon short-sightedness there are at least 20 different roots that can cause it. 1. there is a condition(dont know the name in english, my friend has it) that having it basically “gives” missing spots in you field of vision. in my friend’s case he has a part missing slighly left of the center of his vision, which caused him not once to simply ram into stuff cause he didnt see them- together with his almost perfect dark-blindness walking with him in the evening or night means we need to direct him carefully so he wont ram into a pole or something(caused a lot of extremely funny situations where he rammed into our black friend(no racisem intended) in the night cause he couldnt see them even if they were in the good part of his vision. 2. this happend to my sister - apperantly her brain simply ignored the input from her right eye, if she opened both eyes and put a hand to cover her left one, it would take her about half a second to a second where she saw black before what she saw in the right eye was registered. This caused her to always tilt her head and wasnt good for the spine. luckyly our optometrist - which happens to be an international researcher of brain-eye related problems found this in a first glance and gave her a special glasses that forced her brain to not ignore the right eye anymore. now she doesnt even need it. 3. this i heard from the optometrist when he explained to us what he researches - there are cases where the brain simply refuses to believe the input from the eyes makin people blind while their eyes a perfectly fine. he said could happen from excessive use of hallugonary drug, a mental visual trauma and even from simple stress. 4. another he explained to me that since my short-sightedness is from the most common reason which is simply because of the eye structure being closer to a cone than to a hemisphere, its possible to treat it with contactlens even without a laser surgury. according to him, in my case using one contact for far and one for close range, the brain attempts to equalise the vision on both eyes and forces them to a comon ground causing the gradual reduction of the prescription number, even potentially to 0, he said that they still dont understand why the brain always chooses to reduce instead of increase since both way will equalize, just that one helps and the other worsens the vision, but its worth a try. too bad i cant use contact lens and my retina is too thin for a laser surgury so im stuck with glassess for now Well i sure wrote a lot but NVM and CYA tomorrow
