I'm really hoping Lith's divine domain interacting with souls allows him to bind or permanently remove some of Thrud's assets.

I have to paraphrase a quote I heard recently, "If you have absolute power or can command obedience, if you do not do so to mitigate the evils of the world, not only are you not helping, you end up actively propagating said evils." Jirni is a good example of a positive use of this, showing that her words are not empty threats. The royals are a good example of incompetence. They never make any decisive moves unless they are quite literally forced to do so. Take the Morn situation for example, they repeatedly threatened him, but because their threats mean absolutely nothing to him, he didn't care. The only times he showed any reaction was when Tyris was brought up, because he knew that she would actually follow through. My guess as to what happens next in the wide scale of the story? Most likely the royals will win and there will be no positive change in the kingdom, Lith will become a fully fledged Guardian, and Tyris will force a change on the country by having Lith become its Guardian. At least, that would be nice to see.

I’m intrigued to see how the defense of belius pans out for Lith and what new toys he brings to battle. Are the golems ready? Has he upgraded armor and weaponry as well? How much further has he developed his legacy of Magus and will we see the practical use of it put into play?

Should had ask if he cn bring some eldritches siblins to fight alongside him. It could be a start of acceptance of them. On the other side, it could alert the kingdom that the civil rights extents would also apply to the Eldritches

it's obvious that going back to the Kingdom isn't a good decision, it's just for plot sakes.

Lith is back being a kingdom's dog with or without leash. Whats the point of being a "major"/part of army? They sending him out on front alone. He could've participated as a mercenary and coordinated with army without being part of them cuz of deal with royal. He isn't working with army anyways, they're making him dance to their tune as always. Sad character development, mc is like Japanese beta male now
