I never doubted that someone as paranoid and careful as Jirni would be in danger. What I'm really curious about is if Orpal is gonna die now or to Lith.

I love legions writing but the problem here is that i never doubted for a single second that Jirni was playing him. because as great a character as she is, she is almost TOO good. i never expect her to be anything but perfectly prepared for any occasion. thats why i loved the divorce plotline. Her families emotions are the only thing that can trip her up. but there is zero suspense if you want me to believe she could be led into a trap, especially after the constant foreshadowing that she was his next target. The worst part is im actually wondering how Meln will escape alive! Anything he manages will just seem contrived since he’s escaped death so many times now. and Lith HAS to be the one to kill him so he IS going to escape
