I am falling of a cliff. I don't know if I'll fall into another spike of disappointment (jirni acually dying) or if I get to somehow survive this (she toads knows Deirus is undead and manages to kill him). Nmw I kinda hate both scenarios. Scenario 2 is just a little better. I really hoped Lith'd get to kill Deirus. I mean maybe he still will but it's far more important to me for Jirni to live than for Lith to be the one that gets to kill Deirus. Legion: Lets write over 1.4k chapters and develope characters that the people love and identify with. lets make our protagonist love them too. also Legion: lets killem all one by one.

Not going to lie if probably the most clever character dies in such a stupid way ill probably drop this novel. Killing characters for development is only good if done well. With so many side characters dying off I feel this section of the novel is just one long grief session.

A lot of people are talking about how bad these last chapters were and how much they are making people dislike the novel. But it's important to have some faith in Legion, because remember that several chapters ago Jirni asked vastor (who barely reacted to Quyla's death) to build something that was related to the edges of forbidden magic. So who knows how much of the latest events is real and how much isn't. let's wait and see.

At this point the story quality is just getting worse and worse. I suspect Legion is just trying to upkeep chapter output for tier 2 now and doesn't have enough time to properly plan out the story. The writing is starting to feel lazier and lazier and twisting things for fast plot convenience is getting boring. I'd much rather have fewer releases per week with higher quality writing and propper story planning. 😴
