another mystery investigation.. another freak of the week.. perhaps another plot device could be used at some point? Like why can't Lith actually go and do his own things? Why is he always lead around by the nose with mystery investigations? He's NOT an investigator! Shouldn't he be building his core and his body instead? Researching magic? Bulding wealth and establishing a power base? or perhaps living in seclusion and hiding from society to pursue his goals in secret? He now knows about white cores and Solas has figured out hidden secrets about core advancement yet he just doesn't care all of a sudden because apparently that would require a new plot device and we cant have that. I mean it's a great series and I'm happy I paid to read it! I will continue to pay and read it as well! Just sooo much potential was lost in the last 500ish chapters, the amount of world building that has been done is simply amazing and it's wasted on episodic freak of the week murder mysteries that drag on for dozens of chapters at a time.
