I'm searching for a book idk remember if it's fanfic or not so it may be a novel but the one part I remember is he had a system with a radiation absorping physique and he walked into a gate that was full of radiation which was a alien mother ship (was shut down for some reason) and the outside world was a apocalyptic planet with a bunch of robots (robotic robots/human lookalike robots/ and mechs piloted by the lookalikes) and when the Mc arrive the lookalikes basically take him in as their commander (this world is not NieR it's something else) until he eventually goes back to the mother ship and does something (this is where my memory get fuzzy) here is a pic too that has no relevance to what I was asking
