I truly pity MC since he is expressed as (really) ugly. Man, getting yourself thrown to the side just because other people shine better than you, other people looking better than you. I know the feeling very well.

I am amazed by how many people cling to the front cover image being the suthor's true depiction of Kim Dokja rather than just a fantastical drawing used to draw more readers in. We base our reading on what we are attracted to. How often does an ugly character make you want to check out a story compared to a handsome character? They do this with the webnovel as well, and more egregiously too. Kim Dokja is SUPPOSED TO BE legitimately ugly; they just refuse to draw him that way for the sake of getting more views and more money. Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing story and I am glad I found it, but I am not sure I would have given it a chance if the front cover would have looked ugly. Maybe I would have, but I will not say that I would with 100% certainty.
