Idk why people are complaining about "hero complex" I mean this is more like good person. Not to mention in situation like this you need people o even from rational point of view this is good thing for survival. It's especially good if those people look at you favorably or as leader. Unless you are have are some cheat mc that lives in world with abundant supernatural items and abilities. You need people to do stuff you can't do, or would rather not do to focus on other stuff.
