This chapter left me frustrated đ©, not totally sure why, I guess I expected Jake to not wimp at the plate after the last time the minor league players messed him up, and it makes it worse that itâs his brother that did it. Also he knows he canât hit the other balls that well, so why has he not done anything to improve, hope he develops quickly, really annoying.
how many teenagers (or adults for that matter) use their free time to better themselves? even 15-30 minutes a day? in an area that you have on your agenda daily? more likely he has his fill of baseball with practice and games. his love for the sport isn't like Noah's. And coaches at practice focus on his weak areas (running, fielding, stamina, arm strength). just saying Jake's no super hero with a system. his (non) development is perfectly normal, even more so considering his personal history
mud104:My point, he could research to improve game knowledge, even if 15-30 minutes a day, it would help in the long run, well at least this will be a wake up call hopefully.
his no strike out stat in games should be mentioned in the future again during the national team tryouts. like coaches discussion when some pencil pusher argues that no one should get a free pass after one tryout. or to shut up some disgruntled parents of different second base player that gets cut off the team. some cheap face slapping [img=faceslap]
