I loved this book and these characters so much. but i am sad that the end was so brief. considering how close Leo and Nick were, and how much fondness Vivi and Nick shared, and how Nick was basically their third wheel, i’m sad there wasnt more made of their reunion. It was like a brief afterthought when they finally reunited. And i missed a special scene where Leo and Vivi took it in that Nick had finally fallen in love. Everyone was so invested in Leo and Vivi especially, i really missed a more special and detailed reunion. And they also returned to find Alex had fallen in love as well. I know he wasnt as cental as Nick was to their story but a scene where the three men had a cigar and acknowledged where they all had arrived would have been delightful. It was rushed through so fast it left the pain of their death looming so much larger than their return. I still absolutely love the book and the characters and am excited to get more of Alex in the next book but just wish we had more of a complete ending here.

I am rereading the series again. a little out of order... bit it's still great! I already left a comment on belle Adam's butler but going to reiterate again how I would love to see another story with all three stars working together!!! especially after Vivian gets back. I know you just stated that Alexander got the main black witch but maybe she had an apprentice no one knew about to take over? or a new fight? idk but just would love to see them work together
