Life goes on

Four years have passed since we left the village and a lot of things have happened. First things first is that we are no longer poor. We're filthy rich now and I now own a skyscraper, ain't that amazing? After we first left the village we ran far away in hopes of finding another place to live but we had no money so once we made it to a big city I hoped in an arena and Elana would bet money on me. There are usually arenas in cities in the outer tower because violence is common in this world. We made a good amount of money off of this and we were living just fine. The city we were in was a pretty big city with a few skyscrapers and the technology was about the same you would see on Earth. Elana and her friends took some time to get used to it all though.

However one day someone shady approached us after seeing my skill with weapons offering to take me to the big leagues. He soon showed me an underground arena where the rich bet on specialized fighters who fought to the death. When he showed me this I understood if I declined I would probably be killed in order to keep this place a secret but I was planning to accept anyway so everything was fine. Besides I wasn't fully used to killing yet and this would be an opportunity that I needed to take.

I spent two years in that underground arena and earned a name for myself. I was called the mysterious blue haired Swordsmen. I was called mysterious because I literally came from no where and I was so skilled that my opponents stood no chance. I even encountered a shinsu user and that was really a tough fight but I still won.

After two years I got hired by a big company as a mercenary and for the next year I did random stuff for them. After that year passed I found that the owner of the company did some very dark stuff that made me a little unhappy. Don't get me wrong I'm no saint and if companies are doing shady stuff I really don't care and will go about my business like any other day. However this guy did some real nasty stuff. How does human experimentation where the test subjects had amplified senses so any pain they felt was several times worse sound? I wasn't having any of that.

I didn't go in guns blazing to save them because that's just stupid. What I did was I threatened the company owner with my sword against his neck to write down on his will to let me inherit everything he has. He was an idiot and actually did it. After he was done I killed him and left no evidence. The next day he was found dead and after some investigation it was concluded that he was murdered but the murderer was never found.

After the will was read suspicion of course fell on me but what can they do? They have no proof I did anything. Afterwards I freed the people and made sure they would be taken care of for the rest of their lives. Since I inherited the company I also got a massive skyscraper the company used as a base.

During all this time I also trained Elana in how to use a battle axe so she could engage in glorious melee combat. A few months after the village burned she asked me to train her to fight and she wanted to use a battle axe. Why an axe? She felt it was much simpler to learn then the sword or spear. If this was Fire Emblem Three Houses I would of trained her to be a better tank then Dedue so she would be invincible. I am going to do that anyway though so I gave her a shield and started to teach her the ways of the tank. She needed a lot of physical strength to carry all this too so I set a strict training regiment for her to follow. Of course she's going to need armor too but I have money now so getting good equipment isn't a problem.

Nathaniel started to learn swordsmanship and Sofia did not want to learn anything. She didn't like having to wield weapons but was a little interesting in learning martial arts and she learned some basic stuff. Sofia had gotten too used to the high life over the years and I don't think she's a good fit for the inner tower.

I also fully adapted to wielding my sword and never missed a shot with a bow anymore. I also upgraded my gear from something you could find anywhere to steel weapons with sharp edges and felt much better to use then the iron sword I had previously.

I also tried out something new with Sothis. In the game Sothis was able to rewind time but only to an extent. After making sure time reversal still worked I quickly experimented the limits of this power. How far could we go back in time? How fast could we activate it? How many times could we rewind? All the important stuff you want to know before you try a suicide mission. Not that we had one to do right now.

Sothis's time reversal could rewind about 5 minutes at the moment and It could be used about 3 times right now. Right now I can't activate it myself only Sothis can and she activates this almost instantaneously which was nice. I also have to know the fact the even with time reversal some things can't be changed such as Jeralt'd death in the game.

Jeralt was a mercenary and Byleth's father in the game. He was killed by Kronya when he was stabbed in the back after he helped fight a bunch of monsters alongside Byleth. It made me sad because I always liked Jeralt then he was killed off.

However a day before the present time I received some information. Some information I had been searching a while for. I found out that the branch family of Arie had finally moved in to where are village was. The guys who worked for the branch family of the Arie family were all dead. I hunted them down over the years. I also found out that the leader of the branch family was an old man with white hair and a small bear of white hair. He was also a Shinsu user and someone I will have to keep an eye out for. I found them, it's time to go to war and make them pay. They better get a good sleep because their next one will be permanent.
