If this takes place in EPIC, than I guess this is on of the Aldrnari Empire's citizens that choose to live fully in the virtual world. Seem's pretty interesting. I'd love to see a therapy group of these kinds of people, talking about there experiences in the virtual world and how it turned to tragedy.
Wait wheres the rest? You can’t hook me out the left lane and not give more! For real though, it was good. My only gripe is I hate good stories that pull you out of it because it was all in a simulation or game. It feels like a kidney punch that goes “It’s ok because none of that was real” but in actuality tells me “None of that mattered because it wasn’t real and you wasted your time”. Not saying that is how that story went but just basing it on the assumption it is since there is little to go off of in that last portion and seems to be the same conclusions others have as well. That is my personal opinion, other then that, the story and emotion behind it was really strongly felt and looked amazing even if we are lacking a lot of context and history behind it all.
Even though it's nowhere near original, it's so well written that i couldn't stop reading. Awesome job! ...Imagine a virtual reality game with a 100% immersion rate, you can't remember it's a game until it logs you out either in death or if you finish it (by killing the demon, if i wanted to build on this for example), that's a trauma engine... just an idle thought
