Comments of chapter undefined of Divine Emperor of Death

I don't mind, I'm not saying that the author should listen to my opinion or anything, this is my first post since I have been binging the story and there are several times when Davis's character is overly frustrating because his actions or thought process breaks my suspension of disbelief. In this case, he (and Claire) literally just found out that they were misguided in pursuing her revenge, to me, the next logical step would be that maybe our targets are wrong and we should investigate to make sure we don't wrong another incident as obviously, Nora's family is not so amazing that they can't be framed. So yeah, from the previous two thoughts, obviously just a struggle with the suspension of disbelief for myself. Also for me, it is one thing for a character to be ruthless to enemies, but people struggle at compartmentalizing their behaviors so if they are completely indifferent or cruel to innocents then that will most likely slowly bleed over into how you how they treat those close to them. Also for the reasoning behind it feeling forced, while Nora has expressed feelings for Logan, Logan has his oath (that is pretty hardline that he won't take anyone else - not like Davis who said he would do it with consent). In addition to that, Claire has her own hangup with already being in a relatively sizeable harem (sure, small for imperial standards, but not the relationship she was expecting). I could understand the, "I feel guilty for mistreating Nora since she was innocent." However, to follow that plan, you are either expecting Nora to suffer with her family being killed off or for a long, winding road in which Logan breaks his oath per the plan would require and convincing Claire to spare Nora's family which would be a betrayal of her emotions until Claire just rolls over because she is hopelessly in love with Logan. (I'll admit I was that the whole Claire coming around to the harem with Davis's plan was another thing that just shattered suspension of disbelief for me.) This could very well be flawed reasoning because I don't know how the author will handle the situation, all reasoning is flawed when not all the details are known. (Also as a joking aside, technically all the relationships are "forced" in the sense that it is a work of fiction and the author controls the fates of the characters/relationships :) )
