Gloriana is out of character in this chapter. Based off what's been expressed so far her actions potentially risked the quality of the mech. Mood is supposed to be an element in potentially getting a masterwork. She wouldn't risk that no matter how low the chance is that they'll succeed. As selfish and bad tempered as she may be she'd save that for after the mech was done and not at risk by her actions.

Now Ves lit a fire on Gloriana's butt, she'll want to accumulate and advance without wasting time
