Professor Benedict Cortez is a play on Benedict Arthur and Hernan Cortes isnt it? Not just one but two known backstabbers. As much as i dont want him to backstab Ves, i hope he does backstab Ves in a very major way and not a mild backstab only.

This chapter left me wanting more about one of the side plots. Basically I want to know if Bastet will bless the Cats Ness in any way and what advantages would the Larkinson Clan and cats on premises would gains of that Blessing. It should also be quite extraordinary as a source of informations for Ves. If all the cats know he can understand them, they should communicate with him. Maybe Lucky, Clixie, Goldie and Blinky are filtering the access.
