You know... I really feel sorry Janizi had the bad luck to be born a pilot. Her entire life is focused around training for something she HATES. It's fine for a civilian to think "nothing justifies war". Soldiers need to have a more nuanced appreciation of violence. The day Janizi is so injured she is forced into medical retirement... will probably be the best day of her life! I hope Ves does perfect his "expert awakening method" so people like her aren't forced into cockpits simply because of their genetic potential.
[Though Jannzi felt rather sad that the Larkinson Clan was once more embroiled into a needless, avoidable battle that was bound to harvest the lives of lots of clansmen, this was not the time for her to entertain thoughts about recriminating Ves.] So, what does this say about herself and Ves? Considering what's known about Expert Pilots with their mindsets and the consequences of this thought(?) or statement. As well as the Alliance rational concerning "Murderous Dwarves" from the last paragraph being the most mundane statement coming from her that isn't confrontational... I'm lost tbh.
Havoc76:Her not liking it is one thing. Plenty of people don’t like war. But using her not liking war as justification to split the clan apart is another thing entirely.
