all Ves has to do is make the following points: 1 Ves didn't know about pirates using dark gods. So attacking the fortified base should have worked expect surprise dark gods! 2 The second attack from the warships was going to come regardless and this time Ves tried to prepare for the dark gods. Ves couldn't go back in time and undo his previous attack and even if he did the warship fleet would've still come for him. 3 Ves did everything he could to save as much as the clan as he could. That last battles would've been a total massacres if not for Ves. So they shouldn't be as mad at him Ves didn't know pirates could summon dark gods. The expert pilots should realize all of this.

Why doesn't Ves bring up the fact they will need to defend themselves against "civilized states" and not just pirates? I mean... the clan split off in the first place because the Friday government KIDNAPPED him illegally! And the Larkinsons could do nothing about it!

I applaud Exlor’s thinking on the legal aspects of governance and justice. Leaders or individuals take the law into their own hands anarchy and sedition follow. It’s hard to find individuals who’s ethnics can’t be swayed by the court of public opinion. Ves already demonstrated in Ylvaine Protectorate that he can talk his way out of the most grievous of offences. Expert Pilots with force-of-wills that can’t be swayed by charm or threat are judges everyone who wants a fair trial should respect.

Leadership is not about making good or bad decisions. It is about making your followers do your will because they believe you are the decision maker.

As someone who practiced law, I admire Ves way of making the Clan believe they actually have powers while being in a dictatorship of sort. I can only see a 80% vote as a measure to remain in place. It takes extraordinary circumstances to reach a disapproval rate of such epic proportions. By the time the Larkinson get to a vote Ves would have long enough to adjust himself and correct whatever needed to change. It's very clever.

The truth is that he really did became too greedy with getting alot of test subjects and alot of exotics. So that's why he got the repercussion of pursuing his own interest, there's really no right excuse for him to justify his actions.

Ves is right. If people who are not versed in managing people and deal with society come into power because they are proficient in something else, people will suffer the most. Ves even if he had no experience so far, he did best in providing various facilities to his clansmen. Though he is trying to get away from the compact, Ves is deeply interested in developing his clan. He is keeping long term stability and status into plans for his clan which will help his clan to transition into first rate force in the future. Ves already mentioned big dreams when he established the clan, Ves hadn't promised stability but he promised freedom and prosperity. And he is fulfilling his promises.

What Ves need to come up is why he need to do thing quickly. 1. He need to obtain resources quicker due to threat that he constantly received. No Ves equal to clan doom. 2. The experience are crucial for his future mech development which mean clan future. He just need to disclose what he learn and material that he got that are crucial for future development of the clan. 3. Right now he just need to disclose that all of Master in Friday coalition are against him and the glow are being counter. That mean danger to Ves and clan future if he continues to grow too slowly
