What I predict will happen during this expedition: 1) Ves will be consumed by his latest experiments. He'll push for the fleet to start assaulting fortified bases, and cause unnecessary casualties as a result. 2) Lucky will get badly hurt, while out on the job, prompting Ves to snap out of it and refocus on finding Reyva. 3) The expedition will ultimately achieve nothing. No MTA designer, no reliable Advancement method, just a list of casualties..... 4) When they finally return to Cinach, Gloriana will castrate him for missing their wedding.

I mean the other problem would be that he is making unloyal pirates experts and has nobody that can stop or control them...

I think a interesting experiment would have been trying to put a design spirit inside of a clone, after all he said they don't have spirits so I think it would have been a very interesting to see what would happen, or better yet he could make his own expert pilot by making a spirit that is meant to be one put it inside a clone and see what happens
