Though I agree setting up their Sector HQ in the Hegemony is for the best, I imagined Ves would approach the Vrakens to have it built in their territory. At which point, he would also approach DIVA and make arrangements with them, similar to those he had with Flashlight. They could use the LMC's activities as a means of initiating contact with foreign states and forge business ties with them, a first step towards building political ties.
If there’s one thing that came out of this chapter was that Gloriana has plans for the Hexadric Hegemony’s future. Setting up the foundations of the LMC within their borders, exploring ways of converting Hexers so her Hexer ideals are not lost within the Larkenson Clan and most importantly… ["I am certain that those who decline the invitation at this time will rue their decision a few months later. They will drop to their knees and beg to attend our wedding. At that time, we can obtain some concessions from them, though I won't forgive all of them. I intend to fill the vacant seats with other guests."] All jokes aside, I don’t see Gloriana as undermining Ves, so much as making herself more comfortable in the Clan while laying the ground work for great Wodin Dynasty influence in the Hexadric Hegemony. Gloriana loves her mother and Clan dearly, she owes them a huge debt(s) and will be severing her family ties to follow her future husband. In my opinion this chapter is the beginning of the rise of Wodin within a very tightly controlled society. Unlike Ves who rarely displays transhuman intelligence in developing plans that transcend the moment. I believe Gloriana is planning far… far… Star Designer far into the future with this chapters release. I’ll know if I’m wrong if there’s another Red Wedding.
this is the woman who the author has set MC up with? one who betrays him the instant he is away from her? every time I read a chapter focusing on Gloriana I have to stop reading for a day because I find it so upsetting. I don't find it believable that MC fell in love with Gloriana, even if she loves him she doesn't fully respect him because he is a man
If I see an army of hexer women marching down my way, I’d run the other way, pride be damned. For all I know, their version of a sailor booty call is one man, thirty women in one room and a highly ilegal steroid. It’d be nice the first half an hour, but I doubt the rest of the night will be as enjoyable.
I have long disliked Gloriana and have been waiting for Ves to realise just how toxic and selfish she is. Now I can say that this coniving female dog has irredeemably shown her true colors. Please remove this hateful, manipulative and unlikable FL from the storyline. I honestly cannot see how this relationship can be based on love.
