Chapter 19~Axx And The New Job

"I am happy as 5 months pass by before I know it. I am almost a master at my magic. My magic is still out of control. I doubt I will ever fully control my magic. As it is searching for something, I can not give it." I think as I feel my magic swirl around me.

My farming skills are incredible. I have more than enough food for myself. I had to build a small barn to keep the food fresh. I know I am growing way too much to eat. I halved the barn into the food I eat and the food I can plant. There is a lot more food I can eat.

I created a massive dome over my land to protect everything I have. Everything is going amazingly! "With all my training, I can be called the best protector in Magzics."

After a hard-working day, I stay to watch as the sun slowly goes down as I eat some fresh fruit. The juices of the fruit cool me off after a hot day. I watch as a letter flies towards me. I stand up and I grab the pure black letter out of the air. I sat down and read the letter.

Dear Knight,

I am from the Midnight Kingdom.

I am an important man in the Midnight Kingdom. I have a super-critical job for you. I know you can protect the Midnight Princess. Her name is Zara. She seems to be attracting lots of villains to the Midnight Kingdom.

I bet you are wondering what is in for you? Other than honor, you will make money. If you work for the Midnight Kingdom, you will have it all. Now is the time to come and help us! For her life and the Midnight Kingdom's future are on the line. Come to the gate and hurry. For your destiny awaits. "

Signed

There is no signature at the bottom of the letter. "Oh great, another mysterious letter." I sigh in frustration. "Yet for some reason, I feel like this is my destiny."

I get up and depart from my new and improved property with a sorrowful smile. With everything that I have done to this place, it looks incredible. Yet I feel like I have no purpose in life. The last few months have felt like they have been dragging on.

"Maybe this will give me a life worth living for!" I think. As I stand up, I quickly shove the letter into my pocket.

I hurry up and run to the midnight kingdom. Even though it was dark, my skin lit the way. "Sometimes my life feels ridiculous as I am a giant glow stick." I think as I shake my head.

The letter I read makes me want to leave everything behind that I have worked so hard for. "I will be back when I can!" I promise myself.

When I arrive, I see the Midnight Kingdom has become even more derry than before. I could feel the people suffering. I look around at the poor kingdom, realizing that they are starving to death.

"I know I can help them. Even if the people never know it is me!" I think

Just standing by the gate, I feel like I am home. When I see no one, I realize I can not do this tonight. I sigh in disappointment.

My ears perk up as I hear rustling behind me. I hurry up and duck behind a tree. I look at my glowing skin and the noise. "I am going to get caught. I wish for a clock that will hide my scent, magic, and my glow!" I think as I panic.

Before I know it, a clock the same color as my skin appears out of nowhere. I hurried up and put it on. The glow disappears.

I hear a voice say, "Hurry up, men! We must hurry up and get this done!"

I watch as they seem to try to get into the gate. I growl in anger. My magic swirls all around me, and a ball of flame appears. I flick my wrist and the fire nears the bad guy.

I roar, "I am the prince of the Blaze Kingdom! You have a second to leave before I burn you!"

I smile in satisfaction as they run away. While screaming, "The Prince is here!"

I laugh as I walk home for now. The night is pretty chilly, yet I do not feel it. I go home as soon as my head hits the floor of my house. I am out cold.

I wake up bright and early. I groan as my body protests being awake. I stand up and grab 10 pounds of food. I put it in my backpack. I am ready to go back to the Midnight Kingdom."

"I wonder what today will bring. Whatever happens, I feel this is what I am supposed to do. It feels like a call I must answer." I think as I arrive at the midnight kingdom.

I look at the gate. It is wide open. "I remember the gate was closed last night. I wonder what happened." I think as I walk through the gate. I feel magic go through my skin. It makes me feel itchy, but I pay no attention to it.

I go and explore a bit of the town. "If I am going to work in the Midnight Kingdom. I am going to need some weapons." I think

As I walk through the town, I secretly put food all around the town and even in a few shops. I watch as the people run to the food and start crying. When I have no food left, I watch as they hold the food as if it is the most precious thing ever. "I am going to have to keep making more food. These people are fragile looking. A strong breeze would be able to blow them over." I think. I feel happy knowing I am doing something good.

I continue walking until I stop at a red door. I feel compelled to go into the store. It was almost as if a force was pulling me in.I open the door and step into the store. I see a man with caramel skin and white eyes. I can tell the man is blind as soon as I notice him.

"Hello, my prince! Welcome to my weapons shop! My name is "Author. How may I help you?"

"How does he know about last night? He should not have known about it, yet he does." I think, as I know, I was in front of someone powerful.

"Yes, I need a dagger. Maybe about 6 inches. " I tell the strange man.

"Follow me! I think I know what you need." The man tells me as he quickly walks away.

I follow in his hurried footsteps until we reach a red case. He touches a button. I can see the most stunning dagger I have ever seen. It was blue with a red stone on the handle.

He picks the danger up. "This is a valuable danger. Once your hand hits the stone, only you can touch it. If anyone else does... Well, let us say they are in for a nasty shock!" The man says, with a feral grin.

My eyes widen as it sounds like the perfect weapon for me. I sigh sadly, as I know I do not have enough money for it.

To my shock, he hands me a dagger. Use it well, my prince! You can pay me with your first paycheck. I know we will make good friends. See you soon." He says with a gentle smile."

I hold the danger as if it were something special. I feel it slice my hand as I "hiss"in pain. I look down to see a small flame symbol on my right palm. "Thank you, Author, for all your help!" I say as I tie the dagger around my leg. I leavethe store ecstatic, knowing I have a new friend! "Maybe working here will not be too bad."
