"Your own service, a state-of-the-art NICU, and a salary that makes you one of the highest-paid surgeons in the northwest. You better be worth it."

"Quintuplets, Richard."

"That's a go. Mother-to-be checked in today. Nothing I like more than a high-profile case."

"Don't go calling the press in yet. It's a high-risk pregnancy. Three babies are surgical. I'll need people from all departments."

"You're my star. Whatever you need."

"Hear that, Anna? I'm a star." Addison kissed Anna on the forehead, "It's gonna be a busy day today. Stay out of trouble and just do what you usually do. What do you usually do?"

"Anna has seen my collection of organs in jars," Dr. Webber said, pride in his voice, "Heart, lungs, a brain. She's watched some of my old surgery videos and I'm teaching her basic suture techniques."

"Wow." Addison was impressed.

"Future of Seattle Grace right here. I have to train her early." Richard and Addison shared a laugh.

"She could even be Chief of surgery some day."

"Chief, Adele just called."

"Tell her I'm-"

"She knows you're not in surgery. And she said to tell you, quote, 'We are going to our niece's school pageant this morning. You have known about it for months. After what you pulled on Thanksgiving-" Then she started using many words that I don't feel comfortable repeating."

"I have seven surgeons on vacation-"

"There was something about divorce."

"You'll have to cover my ulcer excision."

"Yes, sir."

"The woman is unreasonable. When did watching a six-year-old dressed up like a wise man- You couldn't hang up the phone?" Dr. Webber stood up from his office chair and grabbed his coat and hat, "I'm sorry, Anna. We'll have to continue this when I get back."

"No worries." Anna left his office and looked around, bored, as all the interns were busy and in the middle of surgeries.

"Christmas is coming up. It's gonna be fun spending the day together with Anna."

"Yeah."

"Christmas, Derek. We love Christmas. At least we used to."

"Yeah. Christmas makes you want to be with the people you love. I'm not saying this to hurt you or because I want to leave you, because I don't. Meredith wasn't a fling. She wasn't revenge. I fell in love with her. That doesn't go away because I decided to stay with you."
