Unfortunate Future...? Quirk Awakening by Tears!

Darren zoomed towards Tomura without hesitation, one punch sent him flying into the air, Dabi quickly shot out his flames at Darren. He grinned as he didn't see Darren in the hellish landscape in front of him, his sly smile soon disappeared as he saw Darren walk through his flames. Toga darted behind him and tried to stab him in the back with a knife, as soon as it landed on Darren's back, the knife completely shattered! Darren grabbed Toga's face and chucked her into Dabi. The League regrouped as watched as Darren slowly turned towards them, the blue flames accenting his now glowing eyes.

"I don't understand this about you villains, you're doing this because you want to live 'rule free', killing people and harming innocents isn't something that allows you to live rule free. It only causes unneeded suffering, that's not-" Darren told them.

He stopped speaking, he suddenly coughed up blood, The League looked down towards Darren's torso and saw that Tomura's arm was plunged right through it. His hands sizzled with his Decay.

"That's the point... We'll never understand each other, Darren." Tomura responded.

He forcefully pulled his arm out of Darren's stomach then kicked him to the ground. Darren attempted to heal himself, only to heal his wound up a small portion before Tomura put four fingers on his face.

"Is that fear? I didn't expect that to be on your face? Tell me something, 'hero', how many people do you think you can save like this? I'd like to test that..." Tomura smiled.

Tomura strolled over to a building and pressed his hand against it, "D-Don't...!"

Darren's words fell on deaf ears as the building began to crumble, screams of agony and terror echoed from the ruins of the collapsed building. Tomura walked over and pat Darren on the back as he knelt down next to him.

"Go on, it's my treat, don't have too much fun." Tomura mocked.

He got up and walked back to the League, "Oh, and Darren... Your son is next."

Darren wasn't sure what to do, as he tried to get up, he fell face first into the ground. Meanwhile, back at the dorms, Alyx is eating with everyone else in the common room.

"Wow! This stuff is good, where'd you get this from, Kirishima?" Alyx bubbled.

"I got it from Mr. Kageyama's Sushi shop a few blocks away from here!" Kirishima replied.

As Leonidus conversed with his classmates, he suddenly stopped speaking, sensing his Father's Heat Energy dive down past its normal levels.

"Dad..." He muttered.

He quickly got up from his seat and rushed over to the T.V., he turned it on and tried to find some sort of news station.

"Where the hell is the news at on this thing?" Alyx wondered.

Right as he said that, he stumbled upon a news station, he watched as a helicopter zoomed in to the damage the League caused.

"We have confirmed that... former American Pro Hero Overdrive has been wounded, we aren't sure of his condition as this time, but we'll update you more on this as we get more information." The Reporter announced.

"Dad... Dad!" Leonidus shouted.

Momo hurried over to him as he fell to his knees, his cries of anger filled the room, his Overdrive ignited around him as he cried uncontrollably. Momo tried to comfort him alongside the others, but they were blown back as they witnessed an incredible transformation! The windows of the dorms shattered as Leonidus' Overdrive became a violet color as he screamed out with anger! The floor beneath him cracked as he slammed his hands onto the ground. Shota ran into the dorms alongside Midnight and Present Mic.

"What in the hell is going on in here?" Aizawa asked.

Aizawa looked down on the floor, he saw Momo hugging Leonidus, Shota then looked up at the T.V. to see the ongoing breaking news. He walked over and knelt down beside Alyx and Yaoyorozu.

"He's okay, your Father's alright, Alyx." Aizawa comforted him.

Shota couldn't help but observed Alyx's Overdrive. Yaoyorozu felt Leonidus' breathing begin to slow down, his new Overdrive aura slowly dissipated, everyone looked at Alyx to see that he was asleep.

"That was... S-Something..." Mina remarked.

The dorm doors opened, everyone gasped with excitement as they saw Annie Leonidus walk into the room. She restored Heights Alliance to it's original state, Annie wiped her hands off before she patted Alyx's back.

"Fourth Gear? What are you doing here?" Izuku questioned.

"Well, I was going to drop the news on you all once you were back in school, but I guess I don't see the point in keeping it a secret. Being that All Might's retired from being a Pro indefinitely, I'm going to be your new Heroics teacher." Annie informed them.

"Waaaait... Really?" Kaminari responded.

"Y-Yeah, that's what I literally just said." Annie nodded.

Denki rubbed his hands together, "Splendid..."

Jiro smacked the back of his head and began scolding him. As Alyx was fast asleep, he woke up in the Seventh Plane once more, a hand reached out towards him.

"Alyx, I need to speak with you." His Father spoke up.

Leonidus looked up to see that it was his Father trying to help him up. Alyx took his hand and stood up, quickly hugging his Father.

"Listen, Alyx, I'm using the rest of my Overdrive to communicate with you. I need you to be careful, the people that attacked Nambu was the League, and they'll be coming after you next. I... I won't be able to help you anymore. The wound I've sustained is too great for me to fight, let alone move." Darren continued.

Leonidus looked up at his Father, "B-But... What about Annie or Kariya? Can't they help?"

"I figured it was time for this old man to rest, I can't be doing hero work, not like I used to. That's why I needed to speak to you." Darren responded.

Darren placed his hand on top of his son's head, Alyx looked at him as he smiled.

"I want to pass down a title only fit for someone like you, I'd like for you to become the next Overdrive Hero, my son. Carry it well, protect everyone as best as I know you can, Alyx." He declared.

Alyx held back tears as he smiled at his Father, a look of determination was on his face as he nodded.

"I promise you," Alyx vowed, "I'll live up to that name. I'll do whatever it takes to make you and everyone else proud, Dad!"

"I know you will, son." Darren grinned back.

A white light flashed in front of Alyx's eyes, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Momo laying next to him in his bed. Leonidus turned around and sighed as he stared at the ceiling. Momo sat up after hearing Alyx wake up.

"You had us worried there for a bit earlier, I'm glad you didn't blow up." Momo smiled.

"I mean, I can do that, that's like one of the moves I've been working on." Alyx chuckled.

"What? For real?" Momo giggled.

"Yeah, like for real for real. I can show you sometime but it'd be like the only time I can since... Well... I'd die." Alyx replied.

Momo shook her head and laid down closer to him.

"You know, speaking of dying, I've actually died before." He noted.

"And I'm as strong as All Might, Alyx." Momo replied.

"I'm being serious! It's not as bad as you think." Alyx argued.

Momo lowered one of her eyebrows, "Is that so?"

"Uh huh, I basically get put into the Plane for a while until my birthday comes around. Then I have to do this trial thing where I have to fight people I've fought in the past in a gauntlet format." Leonidus continued.

"That's sounds rather interesting I must say. Another question, have you ever done anything villainous before?" Momo responded.

"I've killed a family of three." Alyx deadpanned.

Momo smacked the back of his head, "You did WHAT?!"

"I-I'm just kidding! I may or may not've... Possibly... Stolen candy when I was little but that's besides the point!" Alyx quickly answered.

"That's... That's the closest thing you've done?" Momo restated.

"Yeah, I felt bad about it afterwards though. I told my parents about it and-" Leonidus confirmed.

"Awwwwww, you're just the purest little thing, aren't you?~" Momo cooed.

"I'm not little!" Alyx argued.

Momo stopped hugging him and looked straight at him, "You're 5'4", you're considered a 'little thing' in almost every sense of the word."

"I may be small." Leonidus replied.

"And?" Momo added.

He stayed silent as he looked at her, Momo waited for him to finish his sentence but he laughed instead.

"What's the joke here? I'm unsure I understand." Momo puzzled.

"That's what makes it funny!" Alyx chuckled.

"Ooookay...?" Momo slowly nodded.

Alyx looked at the Nichirin Blade on his desk. He got up from his bed and pulled his blade out.

"I really hope I don't have to use this thing legitimately. If what Mr. Ubuyashiki told me was true, it's gonna be one hell of a year." Alyx muttered.

Alyx looked over at Yaoyorozu, "Another thing, why do you sleep with me sometimes?"

"O-Oh that's just a Japanese tradition! Friends sometimes do that a lot!" Momo quickly lied.

[The Next Morning...]

The students all got around for school, Leonidus sluggishly walked out of his room as Yaoyorozu looked rather ready for the day.

"Ah, Yaoyorozu, Leonidus! Good Morning!" Iida greeted.

"Hey Iida..." Alyx groggily replied.

Leonidus walked by him as he went into the bathroom, Momo looked over at Iida with a smile.

"Apologies about that, I've been told he's rather... 'Energetic'... Once he wakes up." She told him.

"I can see that..." Iida remarked.

Alyx slowly brushed his teeth as he stood next to Midoriya and Shoto. They watched as his Overdrive gradually crept up around him. As he finished brushing his teeth, he perked up with a bright smile on his face.

"Heya! Gooooood morning you two!" He beamed.

"Looks like he's finally awake." Shoto observed.

His aura surrounded him and his hair spiked up. He deactivated his Quirk then left the bathroom. The kids sat in the common room eating breakfast as Leonidus came downstairs.

"Yo! Morning, Leonidus!" Kirishima greeted.

"Hey, hey! Good morning, everyone!" Leonidus grinned.

"So, about what happened yesterday..." Jiro brought up.

Leonidus sat down next to Momo, "Yeah, it hurts me to sit here and let the League get away with what they've done, but I need to let the Pros handle it. I don't need to get involved anymore."

"Is there an invisible gun to your head or something?" Kaminari questioned.

"Nope! Being that I'm here at U.A. now, there is literally no possible way I can sneak out without being caught by Mr. Aizawa or just security in general! Also, I promised my Dad something, but that's another story." Alyx replied.

"That's wonderful to hear! Doing that any longer would've gotten you seriously injured." Momo bubbled.

Alyx smiled as he looked at his bowl, "𝘐'𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳."

[Several Days Later...]

Aizawa entered the classroom to the usual noise of his students. They all immediately quieted down as he stood at the front of the room.

"Good morning everyone, as I've already told you all, we'll be focusing on getting ready for your Provisional License Exam. The test itself has about a 50% passing rate, which is why we'll be honing in on creating 'Ultimate Moves'." Shota greeted.

After that brief explanation, Shota dismissed his class to the locker rooms to change into their hero costumes. In the girl's locker room, Yaoyorozu was putting on garnet red fingerless gloves, Toru looked at them with curiosity.

"Those are some super cute gloves! Where'd you get 'em, Yaomomo?" Hagakure asked.

"Oh, these? You'd have to ask Alyx, he got them for me. They're absolutely adorable, aren't they?" She told her.

"You know... The two of you have been awfully close." Jiro remarked.

Mina nodded in agreement, "Uh huh! I wanna know what's going on! Are you two a thing or something?"

"W-WHAT?! N-No! We're just friends, that's all! We're both focused on our studies and..." Momo responded.

The room was filled with doubt, Momo had a confused look on her face as she waited for her peers to answer.

"Are you sure, Yaomomo? You've been with him almost every day now. Iida even said you've been spending the night in his room!" Uraraka wondered.

'HUH?! YOU'VE BEEN SLEEPING WITH THAT HIMBO FOR WEEKS NOW AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US?! HOW COULD YOU?!?!" Mina yelled.

"He's far from a himbo, Mina! He's super smart!" Hagakure corrected.

"That's besides the point! It's super obvious!" She retorted.

Momo blinked a few times as concern riddled her face, "H-Himbo...? I'm unsure what that means. But he's far from whatever that may mean you know. So... Maybe I do like him..."

"You two sort of contrast from each other, like, I didn't expect you to be attracted to him at all." Jiro added.

"Yeah, besides you two being smart, everything else is completely opposite. He likes training and fighting, but you're more book smart, definitely more so than Leonidus." Tsuyu chimed in.

Momo shut her locker and stared off into space as she smiled, "Yes, but... There's just something special about him. He just feels one of a kind to me."

Meanwhile, in the boys locker room, Kirishima looked over and saw six distinct markings on Leonidus' back.

"Yo, where'd you get those?" He asked.

"From my Rage Quirk, the arms literally burst out of my back." Alyx replied.

"Wait, you were being serious about that? I thought you were just exaggerating." Izuku remarked.

"No, that's why my back's a bloody mess after I use it, these scars are from that! I wasn't kidding when I told you that, Deku. Shit fucking sucks, man." Alyx chuckled.

The students finally made their way out to Gym Gamma as they followed Aizawa out. They entered the Gym and were greeted by Cementoss who explained what the Gym was used for. It was nicknamed the "Training Dining Land", as it was able to cater to nearly every possible Quirk. Class 1-A got situated except for Izuku and Alyx who watched as their peers trained.

"Hey, Deku, do you wanna spar? How much can you use One For All at?" Leonidus casually questioned.

"I can go- Wait how do you know about that?" Izuku responded.

"Hee hee! All Might told my Dad when they were younger, it's been one of our family secrets since! Don't worry though, my lips are S-E-A-L-E-D!" Alyx winked.

Izuku let out a sigh of relief, "Okay... Well, I can go up to at least 5% right now. It's not much but it's something."

"Alright, I can work with that, my Base Mode is around that level of strength! Mr. Aizawa told us we'd be doing this for the rest of the summer, this'll definitely improve our durability." Alyx nodded.

The two stood a few feet away from each other, Leonidus stood straight as his Base Mode flourished out around his arms and legs. Izuku lit up as his One For All sparked around his body. The two darted towards each other, landing huge strikes in one another's face. Leonidus hopped backwards and wiped his face, he revealed an impressed smile.

"Huh, you're quicker than I thought you'd be, this is gonna be fun! I gotta say, from the Sports Festival, you've definitely improved!" Leonidus complimented.

Alyx suddenly disappeared then reappeared behind Izuku, "But you're gonna have to be much quicker than that!"

Midoriya turned around and blocked a high kick from Alyx, he broke Izuku's guard, but his foot went crashing down into the concrete. Izuku went flying backwards into the air, protecting himself from the debris.

"𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦! 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸? 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦. 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴..." Izuku thought.

"...Then try to capitalize, right?" Leonidus interrupted.

Izuku quickly looked over and saw Alyx gliding by him, he struck but missed him, Izuku watched as he flipped over him in mid-air.

"H-How?!" Izuku exclaimed.

Leonidus sent Izuku back down with a shot of pressurized air using his fist. Leonidus landed on the ground as Midoriya struggled to get up to his feet.

"I'm going to treat this as a real fight, so I suggest you do the same, I won't knock you out or anything, I just-" Alyx shouted to him.

Midoriya shot out of the small crater and landed a hard fist to Alyx's stomach. Izuku finally caught onto Leonidus' true weakness: His telepathic ability! Leonidus pulled himself out of the large stone pillar he was sent flying into, he then darted towards Midoriya, unleashing a plethora of strikes towards him. Izuku responded in kind, the two locked eyes as their faces became statue-like. The fighting rumbled the gym, knocking some of the students close by off balance.

"WOULD YOU TWO KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF?! I'M TRYIN' TO TRAIN!!" Bakugo fumed.

The two stopped exchanging blows as the pushed off each other, they chased each other around the gym, dodging each attack they threw at one another. The boys raced past Uraraka and Yaoyorozu, the girls looked back with stunned looks. Izuku and Alyx were now evenly matched, Aizawa looked on, taking a mental note at their training. All Might walked in and saw the boys in a stalemate.

"Woah, Young Midoriya and Young Leonidus..." All Might muttered.

Alyx suddenly kicked it into Gear Three, zooming towards Midoriya with his fist reeled backwards.

"GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT, DON'T HOLD ANYTHING BACK, DEKU!" Leonidus shouted.

All Might gasped as he remembered what happened the first time Darren and him trained together. He recalled using his full power to beat Leonidus with one blow! Izuku's hair shot up as he used 100% of One For All, the boys clashed with one another with rapid-fire fists, the gym began to rattle and shake aggressively!

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" The two screamed.

Izuku proved to be much quicker than Leonidus, spotting an opening and ramming his fist right into Alyx's face.

"I WON'T... LET HIM DOWN!!" Izuku yelled.

Shota quickly used his Eraser Quirk before Leonidus could touch the ground. Alyx, instead of crashing into the ground, bouncing across the ground, he slammed against the wall of the gym. Both boys were breathing heavily, Alyx got up to one knee, wiping blood from his face and laughing.

"You're something else, Deku! That Quirk of yours..." Leonidus chuckled.

He looked up at Izuku with a smile, "...𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘔𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳."

Midoriya held his right arm, he smiled back at Alyx as he messaged relayed to his mind. He walked over and held his unbroken left arm out towards him.

"Thank you, Alyx." Izuku spoke gently.

Leonidus took Izuku's hand, and in the process, healed him up. Midoriya looked at his right arm with amazement.

"I'm still amazed by how you can heal with your Quirk, Alyx." Midoriya marveled.

"Yeah, trust me, it's quite the process. It involves Positive Energy and a whole bunch of explaining, in a nutshell, I just use a tiny amount of your endorphins alongside my own stamina to heal you!" Leonidus replied.

The two carried on a conversation, All Might smiled as he watched the two converse.

"They're inseparable, ever since they met each other, they've been like long lost siblings. If it helps them improve, I don't care too much." Aizawa noted.

"I'm glad to hear that, you aren't going soft, are you?" All Might laughed.

Aizawa rolled his eyes as All Might looked back at Izuku and Alyx.

"𝘐'𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘦𝘴, 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘺𝘢." All Might thought.

[Several Hours Later...]

After Shota mentioned upgrading their costumes during their training, Alyx decided to go and visit the school's Development Studio. Accompanying him was Momo, Katsuki, and Jiro.

"What the hell are we doing here?" Bakugo grumbled.

"I'm wanting to get some capsules made to store my Overdrive in, just in case I need to heal someone or if I'm in a bind and I've exhausted myself." Leonidus told him.

"That's a brilliant idea actually, didn't you mention you wanted to branch off into support combat as well?" Momo complimented.

Alyx nodded at her, "Uh huh! My Overdrive can be used in a bunch of ways!"

He slid open the door and was greeted by a mighty explosion, as the smoke cleared, Leonidus had a girl in his arms!

"Hey! Nice catch!" She beamed.

"Well, I'm not used to opening doors and having an explosion follow, so I guess I kind of prepared myself for something to come flying at me." Leonidus replied.

The girl hopped off him and stuck her hand out, "Mei Hatsume, at your service! You need some sorta upgrade or somethin'? Oh! Maybe you wanna try out one of my babies?!"

"Wait, you're the girl from the Sports Festival! Listen, if you help me out, I'll try some of your inventions." Alyx smiled.

Hatsume's eyes lit up with tremendous joy, she grabbed Alyx and hauled him into the room, Leonidus watched as she quickly set things up.

"So, I was wondering if you could make a pouch on the right side of my costume, then some capsules I can use to put spare amounts of my Quirk in." Alyx asked.

"Of course! You're gonna have to take that thing off though because I kinda can't put something on there if you're in it like how am I supposed to do that when it's on a body but then again I don't think I've ever done that before!" Hatsume rambled.

"Are you sure you want me to take this thing off though I mean like we're in school would that be appropriate to do I mean I don't mind but are you sure?" Leonidus chattered.

Bakugo, Momo, and Jiro all looked very confused as they couldn't understand a word that came out of either student's mouths.

"What are they saying?" Jiro wondered.

"I haven't gotten the slightest clue, Jiro." Momo answered.

Alyx pressed the center of his watch and his hero costume came flying off of him, a look of pure horror came across Yaoyorozu's face but a look of unsurprising blankness was on Jiro and Bakugo's face. Hatsume grabbed the costume and hastily got to work, Alyx walked around, looking at the various inventions in the room.

"So, this pile here is all of the failed inventions?" Alyx observed.

"Yep yep! Everything that either blew up or just didn't work goes right in that pile there!" Mei confirmed.

Leonidus picked up a set of intricate looking binoculars, he looked into them and saw nothing but green. He was then swaddled in a blanket by Yaoyorozu.

"You didn't think of bringing your costume along with you instead of wearing it?" Momo questioned.

"Nah, it would've been a hassle trying to bring it with me and putting it back in my watch." Leonidus responded.

He took the binoculars over to a workbench and started tinkering with them. Momo observed as he took some pieces apart to look at them closely. After messing around with the binoculars, he peered into them once more, he was now able to see clearly! Hatsume finished the pouch and capsules in record time, she presented it to Leonidus.

"So, whatcha think, huh? Tell me, tell me! Is it good?" Hatsume bubbled.

"Woah, this looks awesome! It's even in the same design pattern as my costume, those capsules look incredible too!" Leonidus beamed.

He handed her the binoculars, "And I've got a little something for you as well!"

Hatsume looked into the binoculars, she looked at Leonidus with them and was silent for a bit.

"If you're wondering, I just recalibrated the display and the IR illuminator you used, they should be much better now! Instead of it being night-vision all the time, you can switch in and out of it." Leonidus continued.

"Huh... You know somethin'... You're not half bad, Leonidus!" Hatsume complimented.

Alyx put his costume back on as Hatsume placed the refurbished binoculars on the workbench. Leonidus gave Hatsume a fist bump as he walked out of the studio with Momo. Hatsume's soon to be introduced inventions would prove to be quite the experience for Leonidus and 1-A!
