Chapter 5-Adopting Gali

Life is not so bad anymore.

Back at Lucien's apartment building, he had finally begin to calm down after the truck incident. Lucien was now siting face-to-face on his sofa looking at Gali with small eyes.

"Ah, I guess that if you, Gali, are going to live here....I'll need to get the relevant certificates made. That is if you still want to go through with it."-Lucien consider that Gali was still a minor now, and that she would need a guardian so he will have to adopt her or people may think that he abducted this Loli. Though it was awkward to make this point as they have only known each other moments ago.

"Yeah."-Gali nodded along awkwardly, before looking around the building. Her cute face swaying back and fourth.

"I then need to know about your previous residence then, as I'll need that information to finalise this."-Lucien felt that this world was filled with impermanence. Just after eating a meal with a stranger, Gali had given all her documents to Lucien with a naive smile.

"Here. So are we going to live together now?"

"Well, from now on I'm your guardian. Though I'm wondering if I only made such a decision because you're being cute."-Hearing the words coming from Lucien's mouth, Gali directly moved away from him and turned on the TV.

As Lucien turned to view the TV, he saw that it was reporting on the truck crash that he had survived a while ago. Not hearing any new information, he ignored the feeling that something was wrong about incident and left to continue making the manga.

One Punch Man was lucky both a short to medium comic so as long as the world didn't become engulfed in a sea of fire he should be able to finish the next part of the story. The story tells of an ordinary man named Saitama who had happened to meet a crab man who wanted a child with butt chins dead. Saitama did his best to defeat the weirdo, and become inspired to be a hero for fun. And through exercise he become unbeatable but lost his hair.

After that Saitama's life lead him to go against evil forces and other weirdos before joining the heroes' Association.

Lucien planned to first paint the whole first manga comic. Then after the content of the first season of the anime is released, and divided from it. Uncle Andy will publish the comic within their new Shonnen jump magazine.

Lucien thinks that this will be a perfect start of his comic empire. But he will have to make sure that the next manga he recreates is a long one.

*UHhhhhhhhhhh*

The slight rubbing sound of pencil and paper came from within the study, and although ordinary people couldn't hear it at all, Gali wasn't an ordinary human at all.

Her 'delicate' ears trembled for a moment, and although this was cute much like a rabbit, it had dazed Gali so much that she was no longer interested in the TV.

Filled with curiosity at what Lucien was doing. She felt an inexplicable feeling as she walked into the study room without making a sound. She appeared behind Lucien and her eyes lit up as stared at Lucien's drawings.

Now at this point our main character Lucien was drawing the Deep Sea King chapter. Fully focused in catching the true image of the fear normal people in the drawing had as Meruem rider fought against the Beast.

Though as you think about it, Meruem Rider would make a good Marvel hero. In fact, if Lucien believes that had he not been made in the one punch man world that Meruem rider would fit right in, after all Marvel also has ordinary heroes like the Punisher and Daredevil are among them.

Anyway back to the fear of the characters in the manga. Now it was likely due to Deep Sea Kings burly size and Meruem Riders thin form creating a sharp contrast between like heaven and earth that without the massive dedication of Satoru(Meruem Riders name) all hope would have been lost.

"If Meruem Rider was real would he still have this determination to help others?"-Gali asked timidly. She couldn't understand that such a weak and undocumented person/heroism existed the exactly the same as Captain America. Lucien hadn't realised that Gali was peeking and was startled for a moment before calming down after all her presence was still detectable after all.

"Yes, after all his determination was shaped by his personal charm."-Lucien answered.

"Lucien, why didn't he give the answer then. The answer in the comic was different as he only says it's about the complexity of human beings."

"Humanity?"

'Why does Gali have to mention this?'

What wasn't known to Lucien right now is that Gali was an alien. She didn't understand that human beings are more then food like in the eyes of her father.

'Lucien is interesting. Actually, its been more then a month since I've come to earth and I think all the creatures here are both cruel and kind, ruthless and friendly, they are all so contradictory.'-Gali thought.

She wants to know more about the humanity in the drawing.

But to Lucien, she looked ignorant.

"Your too young to understand yet."-Lucien smiled before giving the Lolita's head a pat.

He didn't explain it to her as in his eyes it's not good for children to know about the world of adults too early.

Lucien knows very well that you shouldn't force children to grow up too fast.

"......."-As soon as Gali heard Lucien she froze. She knew that she was getting older, but to be told that she wasn't old enough by someone much younger then her was terrible.

*Cuckoo*

Never mind, she was just hungry.

'Just forget about it.'-Gali thought before humming quietly while glancing to the side to express her dissatisfaction.

'Stupid human to get arrogant'-Gali sat down awkwardly, tightly holding her stomach and made an attempt to smile. She had no idea that she had walked through the system's screen a couple times while in the room.

The two spent an afternoon in the study under the sound of the TV playing different shows in the background.

"Let's go, go out."-Lucien turned his head to look at Gali who was still holding her stomach, before asking silently: "Gali, are you hungry again?"

"Humph."

'I had calmed down, but know.....'
