Mind Games: Tanjiro's Wild Plan! (Part 2/4)

I stayed in the common area with everyone else today, I hope they wouldn't mind me meditating in here, I had to tell Great Grandpa about this! I closed my eyes and entered the Seventh Plane subconsciously. Once I felt the ground become cold, I opened my eyes. I stood up and walked towards their house. I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. The door was unlocked and I entered. It was oddly quiet, there were no lights on, was something going on? I walked into their living room; both of them were asleep on the floor.

"Good grief..." I muttered.

I walked over to them and I patted both of them on the head.

"Hey... Wake up!" I whispered.

Tanjiro and Nezuko slowly got up from their sleep, they sat up and looked at me.

"Oh, Alyx! It's been a while, how are things going?" Great Grandfather asked.

"Well, I guess they've been better, that's for sure." I responded.

Aunt Nezuko piped in, "What's the matter? Did something happen?"

"Well, it's not what happened, it's what's happening. Let me explain." I continued.

I told them about Arlen and how he's after me. I also told them about how his Quirk might work. There's just a whole lot of stuff I went through!

"Oh, wow... That doesn't sound good! He does sound similar to someone we fought in the past." Aunt Nezuko mentioned.

Great Grandfather's face lit up, "Wait! I have a plan. You said this guy was an illusionist, right?"

I nodded my head in agreement, "Yes, he is. He's also completely insane, but incredibly intelligent."

He explained his plan to me. I couldn't believe how detailed it was, like, it was really detailed! I was barely understanding any of it. There was just so much to take in!

"So, you want me to bring him to the Seventh Plane, IF I can. Then, you want me to manipulate the Plane and beat him?" I restated.

"Yep! That's the gist of it, Alyx." Grandpa responded.

"Sounds easier said than done. Especially now, since he's gone into hiding." I noted.

I was starting to fade out of the Seventh Plane, I didn't realize it until I looked down at my hands.

"O-Oh! I've gotta go! I'll see you guys soon!" I yelled to them.

They waved at me and I opened my eyes, I was alone in the common room, was I gone for a while? It certainly didn't feel like it. I got up from my meditation position and went into the kitchen. There was a note on the fridge, I read it: "Hey! We didn't want to disturb your meditation thing, so we left to go grab lunch. We'll be back soon! -Kaminari"

I pulled the note off of the fridge and set it on the kitchen table. I went outside and decided to practice some new techniques, hopefully Mr. Aizawa wouldn't mind. I got outside and stood in front of a tree. I went into Mode Four, then I put my hands out to my sides, then out in front of me, I then finally put my hands to my right. The Overdrive energy in my hands was glowing a bright purple!

"Ooo... This is new!" I exclaimed.

I fired it off, creating a name for my move, "Carving Star Blast!"

The move blasted through at least a dozen trees!

"I-Incredible!" I said to myself.

My phone started ringing, I pulled it out of my pocket and answered it.

"Hey, who is this?" I asked.

"Hey, Alyx, it's Toga. Himiko Toga? I have a bit of a favor to ask you." She answered.

Oh? I wonder how she got my number? Did Kiko give it to her?

"Sure! What's up?" I replied.

"The kids I'm teaching want to see a hero, but our school doesn't have enough funding to even get a Pro Hero in here! Could you drop by?" Himiko asked me.

I agreed and she told me to go to Masegaki Primary School. I hung up and went back inside the dorms to put my hero suit on. I left through my balcony door and tracked Toga's heat energy. When I got to the school, I couldn't help but notice how small it was compared to other buildings around the area. I entered the school and found the main office.

"Oh! Leonidus, we didn't think you'd be here this quick! I'll page Ms. Toga to let her know you've arrived." The front desk attendant told me.

She dialed up Toga and told her I was here. She gave me a slip of paper with a room number on it. I thanked her and headed up to Toga's classroom. I stood in front of the classroom door and I knocked on it. The door slid open and the kids inside gasped.

"Alright everyone, we've got a special guest today! This is Leonidus, he's currently a Second Year at U.A. High, he's been through quite a lot!" Toga introduced me.

The kids looked confused, but nonetheless, I think they were happy that someone who's dealt with stuff like the Pros was here. A kid shot up from their seat.

"Leonidus! I have a question!" The boy yelled.

I nodded, "Alright, let's hear it."

"So... Do you... Do you think that anyone can be a hero, no matter their Quirk?" The boy asked me.

"Well, let me tell you guys a story. There was a boy who had a dream of becoming a Pro Hero, but he was unfortunately born Quirkless." I smiled.

The children looked shocked, "What?! No way!"

"Uh huh! But one day, he was bestowed a gift from one of his childhood heroes. That gift, was in fact, a Quirk! Though a lot of people doubted him, he kept pushing through their harsh criticisms and did everything that he could to perfect his Quirk. After a lot of hard work, he's managed to control his power, and is one of the strongest guys I know!" I told them.

"Whoa! You know him? That was all real?" A little girl asked.

I nodded at her, "Yep! I sure do! So, to answer your question, you CAN be a hero! As long as you work hard and make sure you're healthy, you can be a hero. No matter what Quirk you have!"

A bell rang and the children began to pack their stuff. I signed their notebooks and gave each of them a high five. Once they left, I heard Toga sigh as she leaned back in her chair.

"I never thought you'd be a teacher, Toga." I smiled.

She laughed and sighed, "Well, I didn't think so either, but here we are."

She got up and we walked out of the room. We walked out of the school and down the street. It took us about 10 minutes or so to get to her house. It actually wasn't in bad shape! We sat on her deck, Toga pulled a pack of cigarettes out from her jacket pocket, she lit one and handed one to me.

"I know this is a dumb question but, you smoke?" She asked.

I shook my head, "No, Momo would kill me if she knew I smoked."

"Ah, I see, do you drink though?" She wondered.

"Religiously! You don't know the half of it." I laughed.

She giggled with me, "I mean, I've got quite the selection inside if you wanna check it out."

"Nah, I only do that when I'm at home. I'm pretty good at holding my liquor." I replied.

"I never really got to thank you for saving me, Alyx. I honestly thought you were dead." Toga continued.

"Well, I thought I was gonna die too. I'm surprised I recovered as fast as I did, I'm still not sure how I recovered though." I told her.

My phone rang, I pulled it of my pocket and answered it.

"Hey, babe... I'm with Toga... Himiko Toga, you remember...? Yeah, I'll be home in a bit, if you guys want, just put whatever you got me in the fridge... Okay! I love you too! Bye!" I said to Momo.

I hung up and stood up, "Well, I should be going now. It was nice seeing you again Toga!"

"Alyx... You weren't talking to Yaoyorozu, were you?" She questioned.

"Yes... I was... Why?" I responded.

She pointed behind me, "Isn't that them right there?"

I turned around and there they were! But how? I just talked to Momo on the phone, something didn't seem right. I felt for their Heat Energy, but it wasn't there, it couldn't be...!

"We need to go, now!" I shouted.

I grabbed Toga's arm and we rushed inside her house. How in the hell did he find me? I quickly shut and locked her door.

"What's going on?" Toga frantically asked.

"It's a lot to explain. Some villain I used to know from America is after me and he somehow followed me. Now, we need to-" I was interrupted by a loud explosion!

It rattled the entire house, how big was this explosion? Outside, the sky shifted and contorted.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome... To the greatest trick I have ever pulled off!" Arlen's voice boomed.
