An Aquarium Trip! Feelings for Yaoyorozu?

I's been quite a while since the incident at the U.S.J., we were allowed back at school but Present Mic was our temporary homeroom teacher until Mr. Aizawa got better. It was finally the end of the school day! I had something to ask Momo, so I made my way over to her locker.

"Hey, Yaoyorozu-san, there's this aquarium I saw on T.V. that looked like a really cool place to visit! Do you wanna come with me?" I asked.

"Y-You want to take me to an aquarium? Sure, I'd love to!" She replied.

I saw Kaminari look up from his locker and smirk before shutting it. Momo and I walked out of school to head towards this aquarium place. We made it down the street, I didn't realize how hot it was out here!

"G-Geez, I thought it was a lot cooler this morning! I guess it doesn't help when the sun's right over your head." I laughed.

I took off my blazer and tie, "Oh, would you like me to carry those for you?"

"No, thank you though! I can just stuff 'em in my bag." I smiled.

I moved my bag over to the front of me and zipped it open. I stuffed my blazer and my tie inside before zipping it back shut.

"Hey, so, I have a question. The design choice for your hero costume, what was your inspiration behind it, if you remember?" Momo wondered.

"I guess I can't really say. The phoenix on the back should represent something, but I'm not really sure what. I don't have the actual drawing anymore so I can't really tell you. What about your hero costume?" I replied.

"My hero costume is solely inspired by my Quirk. I'd make it a bit more revealing if not for the hero costume regulations that were put in place years ago." She told me.

I tilted my head, "Hero... Costume... Regulations? Eh? There's regulations?"

"Yes, it was all because of Midnight's costume she wore during her Third-Year at U.A. To be honest, does something like that truly shock you?" Momo explained.

"No, not at all!" I laughed.

I saw the aquarium in the distance, it definitely was a lot larger than what I thought! I wonder how many fish and other things they had in there? Oh! Maybe they have sharks and stuff!

"Leonidus-kun, did you hear what I said?" Momo spoke up.

"Oh, sorry, I guess I spaced off there for a bit. What'd you say?" I responded.

"I just asked when your birthday was? Could you possibly tell me that?" She giggled.

"My birthday...? Hmm... I'm not really sure, I hadn't thought about asking my family that. I'm sure it's one of these months though. Sorry." I told her.

She nodded but didn't say anything. We made it to the aquarium, I didn't even see how much it was to get in! Momo grabbed my hand and my face started to feel hot. She pointed over to a sign next to the ticket booth.

"Couple's discount, look!" She whispered.

"R-Right! I can play pretend for a while." I whispered back.

We approached the woman in the booth and bought our entry tickets. We entered the aquarium, I never realized how cool they were! The inside was very pretty, not to mention the various exhibits they had on display, I'm sure we looked at one that had quite a few different squids in it. I nearly forgot that Momo and I were holding hands still, I guess it felt natural to me? We made our way to an outside portion of the aquarium, it looked like they held live shows here. There were a couple dolphins swimming around in the tank in front of us. We set our bags down to the side and watched them swim around.

"Leonidus-kun, I think you might want to get out of that area." Momo suggested.

"Hm? Why? I don't see anything wrong with-" I tried to say.

I got hit with a huge wave of water! I'm glad I put everything in my bag... I was absolutely soaking wet after that! I wiped water off of my face and started to shake myself off.

"Y-Yaoyorozu-san, do you think you could make me a towel or something, please?" I laughed.

I turned around and saw her just staring at me. Her nose was bleeding! I took my sleeve and held it up to her nose. She finally blinked which caused her face to turn beet red.

"Your nose was bleeding, are you alright?" I asked.

"H-Huh? Y-Yeah! I'm... I-I'm alright!" She stuttered and smiled.

I moved my arm from her nose and it stopped bleeding. Momo created a towel for me to at least dry myself off a bit. I activated my Base Mode which caused my hair to shoot upwards, sending water droplets flying away from me. I rubbed the holy hell out of my hair with the towel Momo gave me to try and dry that off as well.

"Phew! Thanks a bunch, Yaoyorozu-san! Now, what are we gonna do with this towel?" I wondered.

She took it from me, "I'll hang onto it for you. I'm sure you wouldn't want your uniform to turn pink, would you?"

"Good point, I guess that'd be a better idea. We should probably get out of here so I can head home to change." I agreed.

We left the aquarium after somewhat of a short stay. As we walked out of the aquarium, I had a rather bright idea.

"Hey, Yaoyorozu-san, I can take you home again if you'd like. I've got a faster way of getting there." I chirped.

"Hm? What's the faster way?" She questioned.

I swept her up off her feet as I activated my Base Mode. I jumped high into the air and we glided towards her house.

"T-This wasn't exactly what I thought you had planned!" She exclaimed.

"Well, this'll help me dry off too! Don't worry, I've got a hold of you, I'm not gonna let you fall anytime soon." I reassured her.

We continued to glide through the air. This entire time I've been with her, that weird feeling's been stirring around in my chest. I'm still wondering... Was I developing feelings for her? I glanced down at Momo, she was looking towards the horizon as we slowly started to come down from our glide. Honestly, maybe I shouldn't even worry about it, I've got too much to think about with this memory loss stuff. Plus, I'd imagine she's more invested into her studies instead of worrying about a relationship. I returned my gaze to the front of me as we got closer to her house.

"Hey, Leonidus-kun, you can call me 'Momo' instead of Yaoyorozu-san from now on. I'm fine with it." She broke the silence.

"O-Oh... Okay! If that's the case, then you can call me by my first name as well if you'd like." I responded.

"Very well then." Momo smiled.

We landed down in front of her house, she waved goodbye at me before entering her home. I started my walk back to my house. Maybe what I've been feeling really was true, but I don't know if I could make room for them, given the full plate I have now. I heard my phone go off, it was a text from Momo! It said: "Today was fun! We should do that again sometime, minus the whole splash zone thing" with a blue heart ending the sentence. I smiled as I looked at my phone, I answered her back and put my phone in my pocket.

[Several Minutes Later...]

I stared out of my bedroom window, should I tell Momo how I've been feeling for the past few weeks? Or would that just make things awkward between us? As I was thinking, a sparrow landed down next to me. The weirdest thing is, is that it wasn't afraid of me, I actually touched it! It's belly was mainly white, it was light brown at the head, back, wings and tail. It had two dark brown spots on its face, they looked like the spots on Uraraka's cheeks! Not to mention the other spot that look like it had a little beard.

"Quite the friendly little thing, aren't you?" I smiled.

"Chun! Chun!" It chirped.

It flew up and landed on my shoulder! Was this someone's bird that escaped or something?

"H-Hey! You really are friendly!" I chuckled.

"Chun! Chun chun!" It chirped again.

It felt like the little thing was trying to tell me something, I wasn't sure what it wanted, maybe it was hungry? I set it down on my window sill and hurried downstairs to get something for it to eat. I got it a small piece of bread, being that it was a rather small sparrow, and rushed back up to my room. As soon as I entered my room, it was gone. I guess it must've thought that I wasn't coming back. I wonder if I'll ever see that bird again?
