Chapter 16-"Welcome to Tsukuyomi"

A cloud of smoke was generated from the crescent moons. The Konoha ninja's would ultimately survive the attack, but not without injures. Kurenai being the weakest among the shinobi had also received the most damage.

Kurenai wasn't a front line fighter, but a support. And after such an attack, Kurenai might not even be able to do that.

The water surrounding her was stained red as four of her fingers laid around her floating in the rippling water.

A yellow flash appeared next to Kurenai. Minato and Kushina would appear from this burst of colour, and would quickly view Kurenai's terrible state. Not only had she lost four fingers blocking the attack, but Kurenai also received several deep cuts that were extremely visible throughout her body.

Asuma, Gai, and Kakashi fell into the water hard as it became to difficult to maintain their chakra to stand above it with their focus being divided to hold tightly onto their limbs as they had also grained deep cuts that leaked blood from their bodies like a fountain.

But despite their own injuries, all three jonin would turn towards their partner Kurenai to ensure that she survived. Although they were relived that she had lived they were almost overtaken by a great anger from seeing the injuries that littered her body.

They turned to look at the person responsible for the attack, who was just watching them with an expectant look from above on the bridge.

The other two Akatsuki members could only look at the terrible state in which Kokushibo put the Konoha shinobi into.

"Kisame, if you want a fight then go against Kushina, Kakashi and Kurenai; Kokushibo, you fight Gai and Asuma. I'll take care of Minato, understood?"-Itachi said firmly. Having come up with a plan on fly Itachi knew they shouldn't allow the Konoha ninjas to regroup.

The two fellow Akatsuki members mentioned nodded and moved quickly to preform an attack against their targets who could only accommodate themselves as best as they can before defending them.

Itachi re-closed his eyes while running at Minato before immediately opening them and staring dead into his eyes.

The fourth hokage who was waiting for the Uchiha to attack him was unprepared for the type of attack Itachi launched. The three-pronged kunai Minato held dropped into the river below him.

Location: Genjutsu Void

The moon in the sky had become a frightening blood red, the clouds black, and the water below him green. The fourth hokage was embedded onto a cross while thousands of crows watched him struggle in pain.

A familiar shadow would appear before him, like the grim reaper welcoming a soul into the after life.

"Welcome to Tsukuyomi....Hokage-sama."-Itachi said sarcastically looking at the blond man in front of him.

Minato frowned and opened his mouth, however before he could say a word a sword pierced his stomach. Silencing him from making any noise but a scream.

"You will be trapped here for seventy-two hours, sixty minutes, and sixty seconds."-Itachi said coldly before stabbing the fourth hokage again and again and again and again.

Minato would only scream while looking at the Uchiha's red eyes that held no emotion.
