Chapter 9: Mana and obsession

3rd POV :

In the morning sun, birds chirping, and the sunlight seeping in through the window, we can see our protagonist sitting down in his bed while trying to meditate.

Throughout the night Hiro still focuses on training his mana nonstop, to be strong he relentlessly drains his mana and absorbs the surrounding mana into his body with meditation.

He needs to drain his mana to level up his magical container which is big enough for how many spells he can spam to the enemies and shape the raw mana into his hand to control his mana output and input needed for magic casting.

Without any guidance from a teacher, he used his old memories from his past life on how to mold and use mana, mainly from a movie and anime he used to watch in his past time.

The DxD universe and nasuverse magical energy are different yet similar at the same time.

The magical energy is primarily classified into two types, Mana and Od, separated only by whether it comes from the atmosphere or from within human Magi or mages.

Mana is produced by the World through a network of Ley Lines, in fate the density of the mana is lower in the modern world but because this is DxD the age of god never ended, and the mana here is still abundant to this day.

Od from the concept of Odic force, is the Life Force energy found within living organisms such as humans, animals, and Magical Beasts, Od has a different name depending on the language or culture.

Aside from lifeforce, whether from the Planet or one's self, there are many other forms that Magical Energy can take. It can be known as spiritual power, willpower, vitality, survival instinct, t'ian in Chinese thinking, kundalini in India, prana, etc.

But all of those come from the greater source which is mana, but in dxd all humans can use mana with the help of supernatural/magical beings or using the magic system that was developed by Merlin Ambrosius.

different from nasuverse humans must need a magic circuit to produce spells and not all of them have it, but in DXD, the human here apparently can use mana easily if they understand how mana works through the formula and store it on their mana core or if a greater being helps them.

Back again to Hiro, he needs more time for his body to adapt to mana before he can learn any spells in the future.

As he keeps meditating he feels a presence near him, as if someone looking at him right now, he brushes the feeling and continues meditating and unknowingly the culprit still observing him gleefully before The Planet Will intervenes and blocks the culprit's visions.

In the colorful void of the dimensional gap, a giant red Western dragon is flying through space and seems unbothered by the surrounding chaos.

As the dragon was done flying around and smashing through dimensions, it stopped and suddenly the giant dragon's body began to light up, the dragon's body slowly started to shrink smaller and transform into a humanoid form.

The light around the dragon slowly died out and revealed the most beautiful girl who even rivaled the goddess of beauty, she had straight long red hair, a body that could make Issei act unwise, a majestic red dragon wing protruding from her back, a dragonic golden eyes that make all beings feel pressure with just a glance and a scaly red dragon tails at her back waist.

With no clothes on her, she conjures a red and black dress covering down with her legs still visible from the slit of the dress, still floating in the dimensional gap she summoned a white orb in her hand.

The orb begins to light up and reveal our protagonist sitting down in his bed and meditating, her expressionless face begins to change as she watches Hiro meditating in his room.

She grinned delightedly at the sight of Hiro trying to get stronger, in millennia she had never seen a weak little human catching her attention and curiosity, the little one desire and dream were so strong that she was attracted to him like a moth finding a light in the darkness.

As the strongest being in the world, she has many names such as the Apocalypse Dragon, the True Red Dragon God Empress, True Dragon, and the Dragon of Dragons or simply great red, born in the Dimensional Gap from the "illusions" of "dreams".

In her limitless life, she has been searching for something to complete her life, a desire for herself, born from a dream and desire she never had any desire or feeling, and because of that she feels empty and doesn't have any purpose in her life, she searches the world to find anything to make her feel something.

But after a million years of searching, she found nothing, not a single thing made her feel and just made her bored, because she is the strongest being in the world, some many people want to use her power and few dragons like her want to court her as their mate just because she is the strongest dragon.

With so many annoyances that come to her, she takes refuge in the dimensional gap and lives thereafter Ophis leaves the dimensional gap, the only entertainment in her life there is just flying through the void and breaking the dimension wall for fun.

But one day as she flew around, a sudden jolt came to her body as if something calling her attention, she searched for the source of the call and found a crack in the dimensional gap wall, looking down at a church.

A small human kid on the open window looking at the sky as if he is looking straight at her eyes and giving a speech that makes her dragon heart beat faster for the first time in her life.

Such desire to survive and the passion from such a weak being captives her, she wants him, she wants that desire all for herself, to direct that desire at her, not for her power but rather to herself and make her feel that feeling again.

as she wants to breach the dimensional wall and grab the child for herself, the wall gets patched by a mysterious force that blocks her from entering through.

Furious she tried to destroy the patch with her power but failed at each attempt, she could only roar in fury that made the dimensional gap shake, and from her roar, many strong beings shivered in fear and made the supernatural world notice the disturbance at the dimensional gap.

She notices who is stopping her and she is familiar with the mysterious force, Gaia the world will, she never had a problem with Gaia because Gaia never interferes with something like this and always lays dormant since her birth, this makes that child more special in her eyes.

The world will protect him and only allow me to watch and doesn't want her to intervene, this only makes her dragon nature turn to life, making her obsessed with this human child more.

Now she can only watch him from afar and wait for the time she can meet her in person, she holds the orb into her chest and watches him passionately.

"Wait for me little one, one day we can be together FOREVER", she grins maniacally at the orb and never moves her golden eye from the orb "Because only you that make me feel complete..."

The camera slowly zooms out from her, leaving her floating in the deep void of the dimensional gap alone, only times know how much F*cked Hiro is in the future, literally and figuratively f*cked.
