We Meet Again

Something zoomed past my pet bear.

Through my connection to the dead bear, I could hear the object.

It was an arrow.

I looked towards where it came from and there I saw a small figure holding a bow.

It was Little Wang.

She shot the overgrown monkey in its head and the monkey dropped.

Turns out the "monkey" was a gorilla.

It was similar to a normal silver back but twice the size.

Everything here is so.... big.

I turned back to look at Little Wang and I saw Uncle Cheng.

Uncle Cheng was accompanied by the vampire and a zombie.

The bear that I named "Doof" growled.

Uncle Bu then jumped out of a tree towards me from a treetop and landed next to me.

The tree was at least 15 meters in height.

...

"Hello Uncles?"

"Hello Charlie."

Uncle Bu's tone sounded more like a threat than a greeting.

"Why did you come to visit me?"

"Why did you leave?"

Uncle Chang's tone intimidated me for some odd reason.

Well...

"Because I didn't want to be controlled! I want to live my own life!"

I screamed loudly in a desperate tone on purpose to deceive them.

Little Wang, uncle Bu, and uncle Cheng all looked surprised.

"Is- is that so?"

"Yes little Wang, I'm not a violent skeleton. I can live my own life."

"I'll leave now"

I bid farewell and hopped on to Doof.

"Wait a minute."

It's uncle Cheng.

Did he see through my lie?

I had complex feelings and was getting ready to sic Doof on to uncle Cheng when he said

"You need some gear. People don't like wandering skeletons."

...

I feel bad now.

I gladly took the gear from uncle Cheng and put it on.

It was a comfortable cotton shirt covered by a leather coat.

I then put on a wide metal armor.

It wasn't heavy, because it was empty.

I then put on a black helmet.

These pieces of gear suited each other well.

I then put on some armor that covered my legs.

Each of these armor pieces were black.

I even had leather gloves covered by gauntlets.

"Medium grade items detected. Would you like to upgrade them?"

Sure system!

"Upgrading... upgrade will be complete in two hours."

....

Shouldn't you be faster?

"..."

"Upgrade will take 3 hours."

You're terrible.

"I'm a system that even the gods want. I'm anything but terrible."

Your horrible.

"..stop."

Fine.

I got on Doof and waved goodbye.

Cheng, Wang, and Bu all waved back.

My journey had officially begun!
