Body Refinement Realm - Chapter - 9

Damian could be seen sitting inside the blood pool up to his neck . Every time he breathed you could see his muscles constantly expanding and contracting as he absorb it into his body. He started to run the first level of the Tyrant Body Refinement art. The stronger the body the firmer the foundation when you start to refine Qi.

His body suddenly swelled as the as the blood rushed into his body quicker than he expected. He started to perform a bunch of weird positions depicted in the skill manual as his skin started to grow redder and redder as if his blood was threatening to leave his body. His bulging muscles slowly started to contract as black foul smelling impurities leaked out of his pores as he breathed out.

"so this is the body refinement stage"[said Damian as he watched his skin peel off only to be replaced by a smoother and clearer set of skin]

"I've reached the early stage of the first layer , my current strength should be 1700kg. I should he able to defeat a stage 9 body refinement expert and should be able too hold my own against a stage ten")[exclaimed Damian as he clenched his fist]

(your body has the strength but it doesn't have the skills, so while you won't lose against a stage nine you'll also have a hard time winning)[said Hope]

(you should spend most of your time when you're not cultivating you to be challenging different beast to get accustomed to your strength and further your skills) )[advised Hope]

He nodded as he walked out the pool before turning back as if he remembered something.

"do you think I'm strong enough to pull out that halberd yet"[asked Damian as he stared at the halberd with shining eyes ]

(don't even waste your breath, that halberd most likely weights 500 thousand kilograms the least, do you think you're capable with your measly 1700 kgs of strength ? And that's if the artifact spirit even allows you to hold its handle)[replied hope]

"the halberd has an artifact spirit?"[asked Damian remembering the information Hope told him]

(considering how easy it cut through a Heaven Core Expert, that should he a king rank weapon,every weapon legendary rank and higher will have artifact spirits)[explained hope] (you should take a bath, I don't have a have a nose and I know you smell terrible)[said Hope]

Nodding his head. Damian walked out the cave to go wash off his body as the smell was becoming unbearable. He saw saw Kie-er practicing and he stopped to admire her swordsmanship.

"congratulations on your break throughs Kie-er"[said Damian as he noticed she reached small success stage in her sword skill and the 7th stage of body refinement]

"big brother Damian"[said Kie-er as she sheathed her sword and was about to jump into his embrace when she noticed his appearance]

"you....you brooke through"[said Kie-er in shock as she's never seen him cultivate all the time they've been together]

"of course otherwise how could i protect my Kie-er "[said Damian laughing at her reaction]

"hmph you'll have to work harder to catch up to Kie-er"[said Kie-er with a pout] "but down worry I'll protect big brother"[said Kie-er happily]

"oh? you'll protect me? when you can't even protect yourself?" [said Damian as he brought her into his embrace then kissed her before jumping into the water]

3 months later

2 figures could be seen fighting a giant snake. It was a black snake with red coloration going down it's back and sides. It was at least 30 meters long and 5 meters thick.

Multiple thunderous sounds were heard as the snake used its massive tail as a whip trying to squash the 2 foolish beings who dared to enter it's territory and attack it.

Narrrowl dodging the snakes tail, Damian shouted "Nine Wave Sword art: seventh slash"[said Damian as droved his sword into the snakes tail actually pinning it to the ground causing multiple cracks to spread out form where his sword pierced the ground. Causing it to roar in pain as it tried to free it's tail as Damian held it down.

As it was about to bite at Damian, another figure appeared above it's head kicking it to the ground before a sword plunged into its skull as it began thrashing around before its body stilled.

"are you okay Kie-er?"[asked Damian as he pulled his sword out of its tail before sheathing it]

She nodded as she jumped down off of the beast head arriving before Damian with a smile.

"The wild beast in this part of the forest pose no treat to us anymore and it's harder to progress any further"[said Kie-er causing Damian to nod as the 2 of them were terrorizing the peak level body refinement beast in this area the last half a month]

"that's cause Kie-er became a little bully after breaking through to the half step spirit conncection stage" [said Damian as he put the snake in his storage ring causing her to stick out her tongue with a giggle as she came to his side as they walked backed to the waterfall]

"Hope do think we should go deeper into the forest or should we finally go into town?"[asked Damian as he analyzed their current strength. He currently has 10 thousand kg of strength after attaining perfect body in the Body Refinement realm a month ago. While Kie-er had 7 500 kg of strength after reaching half step spirit connection stage]

(I wouldn't advise you to go any deeper with your current strength. After breaking through to spirit conncection stage your strength doubles to what it was at the peak of Body Refinement and that's only at the first stage. You should go into town after breaking into Spirit conncection stage)[said Hope]

Damian agreed after considering it for a while. Going deeper into the forest at this point had little to no benefits.

A little over a week later, Kie-er broke through to Spirit Connection Stage after they were in a difficult battle while Damian managed to reach half step Spirit Connection.

"no matter what I do I can't seem to break into Spirit Connection"[exclaimed Damian with a wry smile after failing again for the 4th time today ]

To break into Spirit Connecction one must first sense the first meridian they wish to open and use the Qi in the air to unblock it, only then would they finally step into Spirit Connection . But every ttime he tried to sense the meridian it was as if something was obscuring it.

(.....try one more time Damian I'll help you )[said Hope]

Suprising Damian as that was the first tiime she spoke after he broke though to half step Spirit Connection.

Not knowing why she suddenly spoke, he decided to trust her.

After trying again Damian found the meridian in his right hand with relative ease and started to guide Qi through it. After repeatedly hammering against the blockage it finally cleared. Before Damian could celebrate he felt a mind numbing pain causing him to grunt as his skin started to smoke as it rose from his skin as a silver dragon tattoo appeared around his neck with its head going towards his heart. The last thing he remembered was the voice of the Dragon Lady speaking in his head before he fainted.
