Bandits- Chapter 5 - Part 2

Her scream caused Ding to tremble as his sword paused on Tang's neck, close enough to still draw blood.

Ding Chen looked around at all the bodies on the ground including the protector he left for his granddaughter and then at the cloaked figure with his arm around her neck.

Releasing all of his killing intent as he walked closer toward the figure " release her "[said Ding Chen in a deep voice]

"jejejeje I don't think you're in any position to be making demands" [said the figure as he placed at blade on her neck]

Gritting his teeth Ding Chen asked "what do you want"

"cut off an arm old man or I'll carved up her pretty little face"[said the figure as he licked the girl on her face]

Looking at his granddaughters face as she cried but shook her head, he clenched his fist so tight his knuckles turned white. Turning back to the figured who was smirking at his misfortune he sighed with sorrow before a determined look appeared on his face.

"I'm sorry Kie-er but I can't let my Chen Clan be destroyed in my arms" [said Ding Chen]

As he finished speaking, he charged towards the cloaked figure killing the remaining bandits before they managed to react and pierced his sword through Kie-er intending to impale the figure as well. Who barely managed to react and turn slightly avoiding the fatal wound at the cost of his arm.

"AHH! old man you really are as vicious as the rumors say " [screamed the figured while jumping back and creating distance between to 2 while holding his arm.

"Hmph she should be glad to be sacrifice herself for the clan" [said Ding Chen as he pulled his sword out of the pale Kie-er as she fell to the floor staring at the man who once doted on her in disbelief]

"she sacrificed herself in vain cause you're still gonna die today old man"[says the figure after taking a pill from his cloak]

"like I'd let you" snorted Ding Chen as he shot toward the retreating figure slashing at their waist trying to cleave them in 2.

The figure parried the slash with the blade in his remaining hand. The figured let out a miserable scream as they flew back colliding with multiple trees spitting out blood. Causing the cloak to fall revealing an emaciated figured with a black spider tattooed on his face. He looked closer to a walking skeleton than a human being and looked even more wretched as he spit up another set of blood.

"Shadow hall? hmph it seems those old dogs hired more than one rat" [says Ding Chen after recognizing the hoaded figure]

"jejejejeje you hid your real cultivation, you're at the 10th stage of body refinement, seems the Ying Clan wanting to get rid of you by any means isn't as unfounded as I thought, no matter you're stil gonna die today"

[laughed the fiigured revealing his yellow teeth as the dust from the crushed pill blew away]

"with just you? I'd like to see how you'll manage to do that--"

ROAR!!! A roar was heard interupting Ding Chen as a massive figure shot out or the forest. A massive 8 meter ape stared at Ding Chen with blood shot eyes.

"Steel haired ape king" [said Ding Chen with a look of apprehension taking a step back]

"jejejejejeje I told you you'll die today" [said the emaciated old man before his head dropped too one side ]

The ape beat his chest and roared before charging towards Ding Chen like a blur before punching out with its massive fist.

Ding Chen raised his sword in attempt to block.

BOOM! a small explosion was heard as Ding Chen's body was shot through the air landing heavily on the ground causing a deep indent in the earth. The Steeled Haired Ape King looked at his fist which was bleeding and roared in anger and charged at the human who dare cut it.

Ding Chen who had barely managed to get back on his feet before his was met with another fist which blew him away as the ape gave chase. Even though that seemed as if it took a long time it only took several breaths of time.

"Hope what cultivation is that ape at? [asked a trembling Damian after calming down]

(that was a high stage wild beast equivalent to a 12th stage body refinement expert)[said hope in a relaxed tone]

(Damian you should save that girl and make her your first follower)[said Hope after a while]

"huh wasn't she pierced through her chest? isn't she gonna die?"[asked Damian in confusion]

(that girl has great potential and she'd make an excellent first follower especially if you save her in her time of need, she should be extremely loyal and may even become your first subject)[said Hope trying to convince Damian]

"...so you're telling me to use her gratitude from me saving her to make her loyal to me? "[asked Damian]

(it's the logical thing to do)[replied hope with no hesitation]

"sigh fine, not like she's losing anything anyways"[says Damian after considering it for a while]

"how do i save her?"

(you have to ask her to follow you and if she agrees she has to drink your blood, it'll take her out of harms way and changed her body for the better)[says Hope]

"sounds easy enough" [says Damian after walking out of the bush after waiting to see if anyone's was coming]

(you should check the caravan and see if you can find some clothes first) [reminding Damian of his Nudity]

"ooh yh..."[said Damian as he scratched the back of his head before going and search. He found a bag containing a black robe and pants with other basic necessities. After dawning his clothes he made his way toward a dead worker and took off his shoes before putting them.

"how do I look?"[asked Damian giving his signature calm smile]

(clothed)[says Hope in a flat tone]

"...."

(you should hurry before it's to late)[says hope]

"you're no fun Hope"[says Damian before walking towards the girl)]

(thank you Damian)

Damian sits down and picks up the girls head and rested it on his lap.

[KIE-ERS POV]

"My grandpa stabbed me with no hesitation and left me here to die, I'm all alone "[sobs Kie-er in her mind]

"i guess my life finally did something for someone, I'm glad"[ says Kie-er as she remembers her lonely life in the Chen Clan, with no friends or any siblings and the only 1 who showed her any attention was her Grandpa Chen but he cast her aside]

"guess I'll finally be free, I won't have too be alone anymore" [says Kie-er as she feels weaker as more tears run down her face]

Do you want power?

"hmm?" [asked kei-er in surprise]

Do you want power to protect what you love and cherish?

"I....I don't know, i don't have anything to protect or anyone to care for"[said Kie-er as her eyes dimmed once again]

She suddenly started to feel warmth on her head as the voice spoke once again

Do you want to become my family? and walk this world together through any trials we may face and always have a place to call home?

Kie-er's body trembled as she struggled to open her eyes and what greeted her was a warm smile from a handsome boy around her age.

"yes" [said kie-er as her eyes started to close once again]

The last thing she remembered was the boy putting his bloody finger in her mouth causing her to swallow his blood and feel warmth in her stomach as she fell unconscious.

[DAMIANS POV])

(Damian you should hurry, she's getting weaker. It seems that she no longer wants to live) [said Hope]

"Do you want power?"[asked Damian as he watched the girl frown and start to cry with a sad smile on her face causing him to frown]

The girl mumbles a reply as her face seems to grow paler by the second.

"Do you want the power to protect what you love and cherish?" [asked Damian as he continued to try and convince her as his frown deepened]

The girl mumble out a reply in a barely audible tone with a lost and hesitant look on her face which seemed to melt his heart causing him him to smile warmly as he stroked her hair silky black hair.

"Do you want to become my family? and walk this world together through any trials we may face and always have a place to call home?" [asked Damian in a caring tone causing the girl to tremble as she opened her eyes showing off her silver puiils that reminded Damian of moonlight]

"yes" [said the girl more clearly as she once again started to close her eyes, so he bit his finger causing it to bleed and put it in her mouth as she closed her eyes.

"all servants will get a partial dragon bloodline too help improve their bodies and all the other benefits that comes along with it but their bloodline would never go beyond a certain percentage until you helped them yourself)

Damian nodded as he picked up Kei-er and ran back into the forest incase the ape came back.

"welcome to the family Kie-er"[said Damian in a low tone missing the smile on her face as he ran]
